Mindy you are the most organized person I've ever seen. I wist i was as organized. We are moving to a different state and a much smaller house. I really need to get organized. Thank you for everything you and your family do. It sometimes keeps me going.

Love this so much!!! Growing up we always had a tote bag for every trip, we brought a few things from home and my mom would pack fun surprises for our trip!!! one rule no opening until we were On the freeway!! Now my kids do this for their kidz💕💕💕😁

Wow. When I was a kid we just put on a radio play (or 5) I liked and I looked out the window and made up stories in my mind. I was totally fine with that. I learned to be able to just sit there and wait to arrive. I feel like today, kids are taught to always need something to entertain them.

My mother used to do something similar to that when I was young on airplane trips so yes it helps

FYI, Lake Tahoe grocery shopping is super expensive and choices are limited. Have you ever considered books on dvd or downloading library audio books? They really help to pass the time on long road trips and sharpen up listening skills.

Boogie board is also a great road trip toy! Costco has the “make a face” books that are a hit with my daughter.

Even though my mom will never need this because I’m an only child, or maybe she will I don’t use my phone in the car so the games are what I’d prefer!

Warning with the Color Wonders: the smell of them in a closed car can get a bit much after a while. My mom used to have my sister and I stop after a while to clear the air. We would color them like crazy.
