The steam locomotives at Dresden Hbf were also there due to the bomb evacuation. On the weekend you rode the train there was also the "Dresdner Dampfloktreffen" where special steam services are operating around the city. But the bomb was found directly besides the Altstadt station where the Dampfloktreffen takes place. So all steam locomotives were driven to the Hauptbahnhof during the evacuation as well since the locos had to be accompanied all the time.

Very nice part of the trip is between Děčín and Bad Schandau. Very deep unique valley with sandstone rocks, lookouts etc. Couple of centuries ago ships transported the sandstone from here to Dresden Altstadt to be used for building of Hofkirche, Semperoper, Frauenkirche etc.

I did the reverse of this trip in July (Prague to Berlin) and it was like no train I've ever been on. Of course I've only ever been on my home state's commuter rail and one Amtrak Lake Shore Limited, but still it was amazing. The scenery was beautiful, and the ride went smoothly... up until we crossed into Germany. The first problem arose when we were near Dresden, and we were stopped at a station for 30-45 minutes because of some drunks on the tracks ahead of us. After that, we kept moving. Then, around 45 or so minutes away from our destination, our train broke down, so we had to wait for a new train to pick us up. An already full ICE train heading to Berlin came and picked us up and we made the rest of the way there in a crowded train. Definitely one of the more memorable trips I've been on.

Great video! To be honest I had no idea they even had a dining car. I’ve only taken this train in the summer when it’s so crowded that even the aisles are completely full of people and you can barely get to a seat even if you reserved it. I obviously haven’t had as nice of an experience with it being that crowded.

89kmh average speed is dissapointing for a long distance train like that. The regional trains in my region run faster than that. Apart from that it seems like a great product. Especially the dining car, a good warm meal for under 10€? That's shockingly cheap compared to the DB Bordbistro on ICE trains. I wished you'd review the seat comfort a little more, since that's one of the main factors for me when rating trains.
