Been to Puerto Rico before. It's beautiful. One thing I think Black people miss out on is getting in WATER. There is NO WAY I would ever visit a tropical island, where ever it is, AND NOT GO SWIMMING=putting my HEAD under water! It's the most exhilarating experience. We always seems to be too concerned with messing up our hair. If I'm not going to swim in tropical waters while there, it becomes pointless in being there. IMO Now that spa day, luxury at it's best.

Yeeessss!!! I love to swim all year round. Especially in the tropics, it's a must. Miami, Ft. Lauderdale & West Palm also have clear & calm waves which make swimming in it, relaxing & tranquil. 🧜🏾‍♀️

Every luxury store I went to in Hawaii treated me better than family. Even the stores I just walked by, the employees waived and said hello. Moral of the story, shop in Hawaii and it's cheaper.

Ummmm when are you going to Africa ?? I get confused when Black Americans that travel often never check out Africa . Like we say we pro black but rarely travel to Africa . There are beautiful resorts all over Africa and the vibes are top tier . I Spent 26 days in Ghana my first trip out the country. I’m not a resort girl because when I travel I prefer to be amongst the locals, but there are several elite accommodations there. Glad you enjoyed your trip and made it back safely Queen ❤️

I’m sorry you had that bad Cartier experience, but I’ve heard and seen Puerto Ricans be racist against Black people. My husband is Hispanic (not PR) and he confirmed to me that Puerto Ricans tend to be very ignorant and racist. They feel like they’re better than any other race for some odd reason (even his race smh). I’ve never been personally disrespected by a PR but I’ve experienced that behavior done to others..it’s extremely sad and unfortunate that ALL backgrounds can’t get along! 🤦🏾‍♀️ I’m sure you may have some PR supporters but this is my own personal experience!

Funny you mention that, when I went with my husband, since he is PR but grew up in the states and I am Black, they treated us like we were less than in a few different restaurants although he tried to let them know he was born there. It seems they are jealous of tourists because as vacationers, they consider us to be fairly well off financially. He was so disappointed that his own people were not welcoming or friendly towards us a few different times. That's a country I personally wouldn't go back to. I have been to the Bahamas twice and the vibe was totally the opposite. Everyone was friendly everywhere we went. My husband has also said PR's don't like Mexican people, which he never explained why, so that may be a reason your husband has been slighted by them.
