Insane shots Fabian! I'm visiting Chile myself in January and want to bring my drone. It's my understanding that tourists need to apply for a license to fly but I don't speak Spanish and am having trouble navigating the govt websites. If it's not too much trouble, could you point me to the documentation you filed in order to fly in Chile? Any other issues crossing through customs I should know about? Thanks so much in advance, keep on flying!

Yes they check the bags and will take the drone, be carefull

Hi @Fibonacci, I didn't have any problems during the time I was there but keep in mind though that the local regulations are getting increasingly strict. Hope you enjoy your time there :)

hi, i heard you need a license to fly drones in chile. you don't think i will have an issue if i fly in el chalten and torres del paine? going on february

don't go to torres del paine with a drone, you will have bad time! The video is from 2015 and right now is forbidden to fly a drone. In national parks is not allowed even with a license. chalten could be more friendly, not sure

Can you tell us how easy it was to travel with the drone in Chile and Argentina? What potential difficulties did you encounter with the local regulations?

I am REALLY curious to know too. I read that in a lot of places it's supposed to be very windy. In some of his shots I could see the propellers meaning he may have been pushing hard against the winds or, just moving at fast speeds. I'm headed there in February and hoping to get an answer to this too!

Hey Fabian! I'm going over other next friday and I wanna know, I know it is illegal to fly the drone in the national park but how easy it is to find empty spots so no one can watch me fly the drone?

Wow... how can you fly a drone there? There are a lot of signs telling "Drones are not permitted" everywhere on that park. The park ranger didn't catch you? tell me your secret!
