Wow, New Orleans so special, the Mississippi is so powerful, the oceans so blue, and Jamaica so beautiful.
I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be a passenger on a cargo ship and you’ve answered my question. This is the power of KZread - allowing viewers to vicariously have real-time real-wold experiences !

Absolutely. I didn't learn a thing. Internet availability, food, facilities, no go zones, costs? Other travellers on board?
Thank you for this video I am from Jamaica I went to New Orleans many times before 🇯🇲🇯🇲
Aww man, i am very disappointed you didnt do a room tour of accommodations and mess, even the bathrooms! I want to see all that stuff! Great video
Made it to the end. Very interesting

At slower speeds in the engine room you can hear each cyclinder fire, at 14 knots we were running 60 rpm
I just went down the Mississippi on a Carnival cruise ship! What an experience!

Thanks!
Do you have a great voice and a great eye for beauty. I would’ve loved to seen breakfast lunch and dinner as part of the cruising experience. I’ll standby for the next one. God bless love from Colorado USA.
Hello from Bogota Colombia. Its incredible how big yhose ships are. Cool videos
Enjoyed the video, I’ve made many trips up/dwn the Ms river.
I was hoping to see the food!
🙏
I may be wrong, but I think that Pilot's Station at the mouth of the Mississippi used to be a Coast Guard station..
Great video. I like your longer format videos. Maybe you can show what your job is onboard these vessels.

I was wondering the same thing what do you do onboard?
Somebody needs to work on that rust. That ship is covered, neglect and it becomes a cancer if left un attended. I, have worked that scene myself . I know.

I wouldn't call your boat prison. It looks to be very well maintained.
Did you know that the Kingston harbour is the seventh-largest natural harbor in the world, also It's the seventh deepest harbor in the world, and much of it is deep enough for large ships to dock close to shore.
Hey thanks for the video! How are you able to travel on these ships? Do you have a personal contact or use a service?
Have you seen the Houston SWATH pilot boats?
Very cool. How are you able to do this? Or is it your job? Thanks for the video.

The amount of computing power on container ships is quite impressive and extensive.
Thanks for the video! Question: how did you book this trip? Did you go through an agent?
@WhatTheShip

I was doing some work onboard that required sailing with the ship.
Is this a normal route i would like in fo on this vessel and agents
It would be interesting to see a typical cargo manifest that shows what is in each container and what its destination will be.

i was working the ship behind yall. How long does it take to reach the gulf?
@WhatTheShip

I think we hit the gulf in 5 hours, we’re doing 14 knots even at dead slow
How much did it cost for every thing??
No dolphins swimming off the bow? Or flying fish?
How do I apply for a job on a container ship
..‘covered in rust’..he says, yeah but it’s a working ship not some chintzy yacht in the south of France!!
When you say the anchor was ‘stuck,’ do you mean it was fouled with something on the bottom?
@WhatTheShip

Unknown windkass couldn’t get it up, ship spent 18 hours trying.

@@WhatTheShip, thanks. Does sound as if it was fouled. I was just curious.
Consider a phone holder of some kind, keeps fingers out of the picture. But enjoyed your video.
"Adventure I just returned on. . . " Done.
Pilots must get paid very well. Cant imagine transferring vessels in rough weather
Appreciate the video, especially, because I'm from Louisiana. I wish I could work on ship You seen prison, I see: NO RENT TO PAY or food to buy.
You experienced Tchopetoulas Street Port? lol

The Video was painful for my eys. The timing was very bad.
So ... Let me understand. You just took a container ship from NoLa to Jamaica FOR THE FUN OF IT? No vacation on a Jamaica beach? You just turned around and went home. You put yourself in this position and then you complain that its like being in a prison? YOU PUT YOURSELF IN THAT PRISON! BTW ... Did you PAY for this trip? What does a container ship trip cost? What was the food like? Didn't you get to interact with any of the crew? (Where were they from?) Or were you in solitary confinement during your jail sentence?
Work on your editing and timing .

my god that was the most boring sea voyage video ive ever seen .the narration very nearly put me to sleep. try joe franta videos .
How do you do this? I’m an aspiring deck officer and would love to do something like this.
I lost count on how many time you said, "Mississippi River in the first part of the video. I got tired of watching the Blue water after the 3 time you said that, 'How blue it is" Of all the many way cool tech stuff to show. All you did was pan the cam so fast over those area's. wtf..lol and here we go back up watching the darn blue again. Holy cow. What the Heck do you do on the vessel? Please let us know. For someone who has full access up on the bridge, and Eng control, you did not show much other than that darn Blue stuff outside. LMAO looking forward to your answers. If your a mariner you will know what my closing statement means. Fair seas CUOTO. 🤙👍 Oh I forgot. They made you Walk? and your in Jamaica WI? dam man F that port Po Po. LMAO yeh that sucked.
