I've enjoyed the last 20 years on the road. Seen lots of sights and made many memories on the road but I've sure missed out on alot of memories at home. It takes a special person to live in the cab of a truck and it takes a special woman to keep everything held down at home without you. Stay safe out there drivers.

We have 2 trucks and our other driver is 71. He's done retired but still turns the miles with the best of them. I believe making him stop would hurt him more then the trucking would. He'll truck till he can't get in and out anymore. You and your father stay safe out there.

I met this guy and bought this CD from him in Wildwood Florida. It’s amazing how the universe works and brings us together at certain moments

This video has given me more insight on a truckers lifestyle. I respect them more and it ain't an easy life.

Dad's been driving for 25 years and I'm following in his footsteps. Trucking has been in the family for three generations. It's a lifestyle and a hell of a tough one at that. This song speaks alot of truth. Awesome job to the creators!!

Allen Buchmiller I know how you feel man I am always on the road and my girlfriend recently was in a car accident due to a drunk driver and she now has some amnesia and the drunk walked away Scott free and now I'm out busting my ass getting blamed for crap I didn't do but those people don't realize what I'm going through because she barely remembers me

Never heard this great song,ran coast to coast for 20 years and this song and video really tells the story,I used to be gone about six weeks at a time,but I loved my job and was a owner operator God bless

I was at a truck stop in Upstate NY one day getting fuel and a tall long-haired dude walked up to me as I fueled. He put out his hand and gave me a firm handshake as he looked me in the eye and smiled. He said I am the singer in a band called Rambler. I'd like you to have a copy of our new CD. I gave his 10 bucks I think for the CD. I popped it in the CD player and listened as I drove along. I really liked the music. Good stuff!

Started trucking in 1985. Trucking has been my life ever since. It's definitely one hell of an adventure and a journey full of memories, both good and bad. It's great to see the old hands are still hanging on. Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down.

Sweet Pete! the song is true most of our lives we spend on the road doing what we love and trying to earn a living. Regular people need to take time and shake a truck driver's hand.

17 YEARS STILL KICKING IT ON THE ROAD IS MY LIFE

I surety miss being a trucker going on my 3rd year not driving. I keep telling myself one day I will be back on the again. I miss driving the long lonely roads. I sure don't miss the stupid drivers of the road. You get them even now on the highways of just around town. Some days I like to become officer of the day. I give out tickets to go back to driving education to take class before they could drive again any vehicle. These big strapping RV drivers come on they need to take a course how to handle the big RV'S. Yes I do miss the sounds of the new trucks traveling down the roads and by ways of our country, the jake brakes, the exhaust pipes rumbling on long down hill runs.

Spent 40 years on them highways running everything you can imagine from fuel to reefer to heavyhaul and oversised including 11 years on ice roads running the Dalton.retired now no desire to return,leave it to you young pups now.take care of my road

I spent the last three months out on the road non stop during the shortage of loads during the pandemic. I'm running locally right now and truly miss the open road, different places and different people each day .

Been just over 30 years and still doing it, never did get used to the being gone and away from everybody but it's always paid the bills and made for a pretty good life but if I had it to do over again......idk

Listen to this song, I came off the road 2 years ago to raise kids. I now haul fuel and not a day goes by I don’t miss the road!!

It takes a special person to drive an 80 thound pond rig. I do it for my loved ones and all the other people so they will have what they need. I had my license since I was 19 still love the job .

I'm 74, quit trucking in the 80s. I always intended to get back into it but life got in the way. I still dream about it.

I miss being out on the road. Gunna go back after I get loose ends tied up.

Great song and video... I've only been out here just over a year and like any of the rest of us it's hard to be away from the ones we love at home but once your in this life its not easy to go back to them 9-5 kind of jobs. This life just has a strangle hold on all of us.

Been out here OTR O/O 49 years now. 71 and still truckin. The road is all I know and guess the day I retire will be the day I die. To all my trucker friends I wish you the best. Old school truckin is a thing of the past and I miss it. Just no comraderie like the old days when truckers would go out of their way to help each other out. The new generation of drivers out here today would be wise to take some lessons and advice from us old schoolers. Until that day when I die I'll be crusin cross America in this big Pete and haulin that fresh produce and meat to your market shelves. Stay safe my friends. It's mighty dangerous out here today. Eagle One...some of us young uns out here are old souls at heart...truckin is all I've ever wanted to do and still get a thrill every time I hit the starter...I've only been out here 13 years now and hope I'll still be hammer down when I'm 71....a huge thank you to you and all the rest of the veterans of the big road...

The shots of the trucks side by side reminded me of the days when I could run with my dad. He would always let me get close to passing but just when I thought I could he would walk off and leave me. He always had a little more pedal than me. Thanks for this video it brings back memory's of those days.

Well, I been in both of the shoes,,,,the OTR trucker for 25 years & now retired & hubbys still at it...your so right...I had rather be a trucker anyday than a truckers wife..we had some rough scrapes when we both run, but at least we were together..but it was easy for us then as truckers compared to what its like today..I miss my big Pete & the road bad, but don't want it in todays world..you guys all have my blessings out there..I respect all of ya for what ya do..been there & done that..Candy

to the ppl who think its hard/tough to be a truckers wife, try being the truckers child & being a daddys boy at that, wondering why he ant home for bdays, christmas, thanksgiving, family reunions, etc... as a small young boy crying my eyes out because my dad had been gone so long that i had forgotten what he even looks like, staying up late so many nights hopin he would be in that night but didnt, worried all the time about his health & if he is alright but its better now altho he still drives

Got my CDL when I was 21, drove Dry van Trailers , reefers , gasoline tankers , 26 wheel sand trailer , boom trucks ,#2 and #4 oil Tanker , still driving in the cities of a Truckers nightmare NYC NJ and PHILLY PA , been trying to do something else with my life and leave the Highway ,,, But I just love my trucks ,, it's like a necessary Evil ,,
