i think most of american tourist have an extremely superficial approach when visiting venice (and italy in general)... for them, we live in the country of pasta, pizza, good food and beautiful old buildings but there is so much more behind the history of those walls... when they walk in the streets they don't know anything about the history of what they're seeing...how can you really say to appreciate italy if you don't know why it's the piece of art it is? Venice, for example has been an indipendent and powerful republic for over than 1000 years...but when you come to italy it's a good thing to study before...bye...hope there will be another time you'll come here, but that time, be sure to know what you'll be visiting, you will surely enjoy it more...

Yep. That's why I visit Italy when I can because I actually know the history and fell in love with it on my first visit. I am even studying the Black Death in Italy for my master's thesis.

You are a really good narrator! A lot of times with long vlogs I get bored but I'm so surprised when I watched yours time went by so fast! Venice looks so beautiful . I was in awe struck by the architecture. It's like everything I've been learning in world history AP came to life lol

Omg what beautiful memories. I love Venice. I have been there twice once in 2009 and just recently in 2015. It is a beautiful city. It has changed a lot since I was there in 2009. The high water is really making the natives leave the city but it is such a gorgeous place. Love this video I have added it to my favorites 😀.

***** well, it's pretty important to specify the part of europe because there are thousands of different styles and types of architecture all of which are connected to many different cultures in europe. for example, european people will never identify themselves as "european", unlike americans who will first say they're american and then specify the part of america they're from. in europe we aren't very united as nations. there are a lot of very different cultures, and different architecture styles even within the same country, so saying something like "european architecture" is extremely vague and also kind of useless to say if you didn't specify on which architecture you're referring to. i hope this makes sense

One of the first things she says is 'I don't want to get ripped off just yet''. What's that about! Very short on detail, insight and very touristy. She clearly didn't get the best out of her Venice experience which is a shame. She ended up in a pizza franchise 'Rosso Pomodoro' on her last night. No mention of cicchetti? A bit of research would have made a massive difference. Her parting shot was to suggest the city will sink into the water. How ungracious.

I love it and believe me it’s not that long! Very informative and just the right amount coz some vlogs takes forever and have to skip quite often. I always wanted to go with hubby, so i was searching for a video here and saw this! Venice is my home; it has a long, deep and fascinating history and the city today has many problems. This candyfloss waffle does nothing for us and in fact causes damage as the millions of insensitive tourists do every year. Please visit my city but please, do your homework, let the city work on you.It is not the place of packaged rubbish presented here.

Nice Video. May I add that one of the most interesting experiences in Venice is to get lost among its quaint narrow alleys. We get to see the vibrant charms of the city and its people at its most intimate. The city is small enough that we do not actually get lost, eventually we should find our way around.
