14:06 Band-Maid concert

Now _that's_ a travelogue! It looks like you had a blast, and good on you for overcoming your fears and riding the tramway to the temple. Such a unique view of a unique place. It looked like a great concert, but aren't they all? We will know world domination is near when inner-city gangs wearing leather jackets and hoodies with a bow on the back shout "po!" and ask each other which songs they want to hear, and then share drinks after the show with friends from all around the world! Kuruppo!

At least you've seen them. I was going to go to Denver the last time they were in the states but I had a major health issue going on at the time and I had to shelve those plans. I've been into them for about six years now and have most of their commercial output including the Tenth Anniversary two disc set. Best rock band on the planet.

That's awesome, man. So happy for you and glad you had a good time. That's one monster of a trip. Whenever I go somewhere, especially a new place, I can't sleep because of the adrenaline rush. Really enjoyed this vlog, and good quality for the fan cam of the show. I've put myself into the ballot for a ticket to the 26th November concert in Tokyo. Here's hoping. It will be my first time in Japan, and my first time going to a Band-Maid concert. I might hit you up for advice as a first time traveller to Japan!

John , I really enjoy your travelogs, both seeing Band Maid and Nemophila in Asia, so wonderful! Love how you are able to adapt to the changes in schedule and stay positive! The Band-Maid concert clips are awesome ( wish you had gotten Mincho stealing Misa’s beer😅) and also loved seeing how beautiful China’s countryside and temple was. Hong Kong looked great too. Band-Maid and Nemophila are my too favorite bands and thanks for the reactions and travelogs, keep rocking!!!

GAO! for real thank you so much! I really loved going to both of those shows! Next time I will for sure be doing more for the Nemophila concerts if possible! Heading back to Japan to see Band-Maid in May so I'll do another vlog for that one as well! (So bummed I didnt get Mincho stealing Misa's beer on camera lol! I was laughing so much!)

@@JohnReavesLive its great you get to go back to Japan so soon! (Nemophila are playing Budokan in February as their fifth anniversary show, a really big deal) . Band-Maid brought me in to this scene. and are such a special group of friends and artists. Nemophila have expanded my love for the music of Japan even more, and another special group, they also seem to love each other like the Maids and are such great artists. I know you approach introductions to bands carefully and considerately, but if you have the time or inclination I'm sharing a couple links, a cover and the original of a song that's foundational the sound I've grown to love so much! Nemophila doing a loving cover of KURENAI a song by X Japan. Tamu absolutely stuns in this clip. Yoshiki , of The Last Rock Stars (a band he co-founded and Band -Maid made a special trip from Japan to NYC to open for a couple years back) is the drummer on the original X Japan(he also is a co-founder of )clip....now beginning to understand why the Maids were so appreciative and in awe of performing with him. yeah so thanks Band Maid and Nemophila and John for the great tunes!

I love that you found a posse to hang out with after the show! And the dogs and cows situation was everything, what a gorgeous place and cool experience for you! All the way to China eating southern soul food, it's a Reavesy thing! 😂

John, I'm so envious of you for getting to see them in Hong Kong. You did a really good job recording the video and sound of the concert. I swear, every time I see Band Maid, I fall in love with them more. I don't care how many times I hear one of their songs, there are so many nuances of their music you can pick up on. I hope to see you at a future Band Maid concert.

@@JohnReavesLive Honestly, the only thing that is set in stone is on March 3rd.. Going to the Babymetal Legend MM concert in Yokohama. Outside of that I've made a small list of things that I might want to see or do but most of it will simply be picking random places to explore. I do have hotel reservations in Yokohama but I doubt that I will actually be staying there most of the time. I prefer to mindlessly wander and take in how people are going about their daily lives vs doing the touristy stuff. All I care about is getting back to my flight home on time. Beyond that, it's all a crap shoot. If I get lost and end up sleeping under a bridge for a night, so be it! 😆
