Great tips as I hadn’t though of using contact lens cases for products. My last trip I was on a ship for 28 days but that means the larger stuff can still be packed. I do keep a bag with my travel stuff inside for short quick trips. You are right about the people checking the liquid bag & what they consider to be liquid. Thanks 🙏🏻

Contacts cases and perfume vials are brilliant ideas! I’m one who checks a bag because I couldn’t figure out how to get everything in a ziploc bag. Thinking about giving it a try now! Thank you for sharing this!

I think most companies these days also offer mini sizes for cosmetics or trial sizes or samples that you could bring if you could get them. And if you travel with someone you could split up bringing hair items or something like that...And only bring a few pairs of shoes and clothing that you can mix and match are my tips. Love yours!!

Katie Thomas it's cheaper to just buy empty containers and just fill them up w ur favorite products. After ur trip u can transfer the toiletries to ur everyday makeup bag, That's what I do.

Stephanie, Thank you so much for this video. I always have so much "stuff" when i travel. It's a goal of mine to pack in just a carry on... LOL. My makeup bag and toiletry bag take up so much room. These were great tips. I ordered the quart size bag you use. I would love to see how you pack your carry on. My problem is shoes. I always want to take to many. You have great videos.

+Tanya Nix Sometimes it just doesn't work out. My last trip I checked because of fluctuating temps (65 day and 30 at night) and shoes and layers. There was just no way! I intended to film a carry on video before that trip but it wouldn't have been genuine at that point. I will definitely do one though! Paring down is such a challenge!

Very practical tips. My biggest Takeaway, as I do travel a lot, is to get a flexible, sturdy quart size bag instead of just using a plain Ziploc bag that is inflexible and flimsy. Great job and I enjoy your work. Thank you! I’ve also found that my empty Young living oil containers especially the 5 mL are great for hair oil and facial oil things like that... obviously you want to pay attention to what kind of oils you it in it but if it held lavender oil and you’re putting in hair oil, it is awesome.

Literally one of the best packing videos I have watched....and I have watched a lot! Flying next weekend, 'bout to go order that quart bag for sure. And then I'll probably go binge watch more of your videos! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for the Downy Wrinkle Releaser tip! I completely forgot about this product and bought it for a recent business trip after watching your video. It was a life saver as I packed a ton of clothes into my carryon and, when I arrived at my destination, they were a wrinkled mess. Thanks to the Downy spray I was able to remove the wrinkles without spending the afternoon ironing clothes in my hotel room. Also love the tip about the nail polish remover wipes. Thanks again!

i absolutely love you girl!!! this is such a great video... I just recently went on a 4 day beach resort trip, and packed everything in a carry on... it was my first time packing in such a small bag.. quite a challenge .. but so glad I did it..... i love all my products and have a lot of stuff, so i condensed everything down to small containers .. thank you for this, i picked up on a few things i didn't think of.. :)

Thank you for the very helpful video. What hair products do you use for travel? I could not find any details in the comments and links.

Stephanie, I wanted to let you know that I have the Nars liquid blush and for travel I put it in the little containers that I got from Estee lauder. The ones that they use to sample foundation. Hope this helps you.

Great video. I'm traveling soon, and am going back and forth between a checked bag and a carry on. Needed to see this so if I decide on the carry on, I'll know how to pack. Only going for a week, but weather will be tricky, and I can't lift much, so getting a carry on up into the overhead bin (plus I'm only 5' tall) is such pain. I can't reach easily, and you can't rely on getting someone to help you. Hence the reason I might just check a bag. These days, so many people take carryons and the bins are often full, but waiting for luggage is nowhere near as bad as it once was, as so few people actually check bags. I save all tiny containers that I think will be good for travel, as well as decanting and refilling too. Think I need a label maker!! The other thing I might do (as I'm traveling alone and don't need to worry about anyone else) is make a quick trip to Boots and Superdrug and pick up what I need!

I’ve never heard of it - thank you.. Right now I do not have access to an iron, I will in a few months so I thought a steamer but it’s shockingly bad. I generally try to not let even my dirty clothes get wrinkles in them and take them straight out of the washing machine and very carefully and strategically hang them on the clothesline with no wrinkles. But of course Some creep in. Especially as I do spend a lot of time in a suitcase (sadly not travelling but in hospital - I’m nice knob but I do not like my pyjama T-shirts to be covering wrinkles, apart from the way they look at uncomfortable).. So thank you. I’ll try to find that brand if I can’t I will just try what I can find as I live in Australia and we often can’t get the good stuff, that you guys can..

@@rainbowcolour5078 -you can also make your own wrinkle release spray using fabric softener & water. I Lund a recipe on Pinterest, and that’s all I use now! It’s much less expensive than buying a brand name. You can decant a small amount into a travel spray bottle to take with you on trips, too!

Awsome! I was worried about my makeup!!

I travel a lot, usually for anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month, so thank you for this. I will say, Ebay sells small refillable airless pump bottles for $1-$2 which are amazing for decanting creams and foundations. They are anywhere from 1/3 oz to 1 oz and are easier to use than cntact lense cases for certain things.

I am checking my bag this summer (we'll be gone for 3 weeks), but tips to pack toiletries are always super helpful because I don't need full bottles of shampoo etc... I'm travelling with a big hiking back pack and I still want to carry it around easily.

I have a sample size of the bumble and bumble hair oil and I never thought about using it for travel. I was just thinking about it being a sample. I also purchased for maybe $8 these adorable little jars for cosmetics. they are the size of one side of the contact lens case. I don't wear contacts so it works for me. I used to travel every 3 months and I had it down to a science. my husband thinks I am crazy for taking the tweezers and allergy meds and creams etc. men just have it made.
