    Just found your channel and love it! I’m an RN from BC Canada. Traveled to Boston last year and it’s such a beautiful city! At the hospital I work at we can wear whatever colour or print we want. We also have the option to wear sports type clothing as long as it fits the dress code. Also we work days and nights....with most full time working 2days/2nights with either 4 or 5 days off.

    Ok, so your primary residence is Florida. A video please on the financial implications of selecting your state of residence (no income tax). Also, why it’s important for you to have property and an investment strategy as a travel nurse, especially if you are single, otherwise you will pay a $hit load of taxes. What can you write off as a traveler?! How your home pays for itself. #vacationrental #airbnb Was this a factor when you made you initial purchase?

    Hi Beebee. Congratulations on this new assignment. I notice you wear your converses. Are they comfortable for you on a 12hr shift? What made you decide on wearing them vs clogs or other kind tennis shoes. Loving your new consistency. Also I don’t know if you’ve said it in your other videos and I missed it, but what’s your nursing specialty?

  • @beebeeberlucern2464

    @beebeeberlucern2464

    4 жыл бұрын

    Good morning Angie! First and foremost, thank you for subscribing to my channel. In regards to my converses, they are just very comfortable to me. I don’t wear clogs because to me they are just very heavy on my feet. Not really sure if it’s because I didn’t really take the time to break them in but they just haven’t worked for me. I own some tennis shoes but sometimes I find that they are not always the most comfortable for me because of the arch or they are tight around the front. I think with my converses they are comfortable because I am flat-footed and they are wide in the front. And as far as my nursing specialty, I started off in step down nursing.(not med surg, not ICU... a happy medium) this point with my traveling career, I have worked on step down trauma, cardiac, surgical, and Neuro. So... I’ve done a little bit of everything.☺️

    Heyyyy . I love your vlogs. I’m always waiting for you to upload your vlogs, they are sooo helpful 😁 I’m a nurse and I’m working with a recruiter to start my first assignment sometime in May. Any tips on finding housing will be great? I’m currently using furnished finder and Airbnb to help with housing locations but would love your insight. 💕💁🏽‍♀️

    Hello Jessica! Thank you for your positive feedback & I’m soooo happy you are enjoying my Vlogs. I think you have a good start with using furnished finder and AIRBNB. What I would First figure out what is important to you and your budget. For me personally, i prioritize being comfortable safe and comfortable so I do sometimes spend a little bit more money for those things. As far as AIRBNB, if you’re looking to save a little bit of money, one thing that you can do is opt for instead of booking an entire apartment, to book a room WITH A PRIVATE BATHROOM. Typically you can get a pretty good decent room with your own private bathroom and be able to feel comfortable. A lot of the rooms have everything you need in them as well. Also make sure that you are booking from a Preferred Host. Furnished finder is a little bit expensive. I have not use them yet but they are a good option. Another thing that I would recommend is looking to see if the city that you are going to be traveling to has programs or companies specifically for that area. Right now I am in Boston and I chose to use Sonder.com. Basically they buy out apartments around the city; furnish them, and rent them out as AIRBNBs. Fully furnished with all the amenities 🙂 I would also recommend Joining Facebook groups dedicated to helping travelers find housing. this has been really helpful for me in the past. Let me know if any of these tips have helped you. And if you need any additional help feel free to DM me on Instagram ☺️

    Thank you Hilary! I’m so glad you are enjoying the content!! My journey to nursing is a unique one and I’ll be honest, nursing wasn’t my first choice as a career. I wanted to go into Law. (I even took an entire semester of law) I didn’t want to be in the medical field at all because I didn’t like science or math. Lol I didn’t think nursing school was right for me until after I became a nurse & I was on the floor and taking care of patients! Then I found my love for it & can’t imagine me doing anything else (That’s the short version) I think I now want to make a video about it explaining it more in depth because my story is a unique one! Thanks for the idea

    Hello Monica! For me I always thought that was the norm! I used to live in Florida and that has been the norm for hospitals for a while now. I know in the nursing homes they are not as strict and you can wear whatever you want but hospitals for as long as I could remember had color is specific to the department. It is pretty refreshing though that they encourage individuality. The only downside I would say is that, As a newbie I never know what Department someone is wearing when I see them. I literally have to either ask them or squint and look at their badge lol 😂

    Hi can I get a travel nurse job after I graduate with my RN and been working as an LPN for 2 years in the specialty I’m wanting to do for traveling? Or do I have to work for 2 years as an RN?

    Most places require you have 1-2 years of experience on a floor before you apply! Good luck!
