Travel America! Dubuque the Birthplace of Iowa
Ойын-сауық
We're back on the road baby!!! We hopped a plane for the first time in well over a year and we landed in Dubuque, Iowa. "What brought you ladies to Iowa?" you might ask. The answer: an absolutely amazing film festival, that's what. So, in between all the movie watching and elbow-rubbing, we decided to see what Dubuque had to offer. And we were not disappointed. Hiking, wine tasting, history around every corner... it's a quaint little town but we loved every inch of it. Welcome to Dubuque, where Iowa started.

I’m from Dubuque and this randomly popped up lol. Love the video.
Thank you soooo much for the bit on the shot tower 👍🏽
Wow, traveling. What is that again? Dubuque looks like a fun place!
What a cute little town. I especially like the murals.
Im here in Dubuque with ky wife for her birthday weekend. Lovely area of the country. ❤
Wow! Looks very scenic and serene.Definitely going to pay this town a visit sometime soon.
Fun fact: the voices murals are lead by Sam Mulgrew. If that last name sounds familiar, Sam is the brother of Star Trek Voyager and Orange is the New Black actress Kate Mulgrew.

Your little hometown looks really interesting Ben!
Great job ladies!
Lots of cool and interesting things to see and do there by the looks of things. Can't wait for the film festival vid next week. 🎉
Back to film festivals!!!!
Glad you had a good time.
I was really young living in Iowa and don't remember anything. You make it look worth a visit. 😊 Thank you!
Thank you for this. Just spent three days in Dubuque for a quick getaway. Mines of Spain and Crystal Lake Cave are both great as well!!
One the best museums
We drove through Dubuque once. Didn't stop or see much of it. So this was nice look at it.
I cant believe you were so close to where I live!!! I wish I could have met up with you! Thanks for sharing, glad you had fun. PS, I'm in south east MN.
So cool and the old buildings, scenery and more. Thank you ladies. Question- who was the first KZreadr to say “byyyyeeee”?
Next time you visit I'll be a local guide. There's so many things of interest in eastern Iowa.
Going to a hockey game deserves an extra thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻
I really like Dubuque Iowa. This is a good clip and there is so much more to see/view. I wish they would have shown more video on the beautiful Bluffs.
So you went to a fight, and a hockey game broke out? Nice travel vlog! Finally back out on the road again - yea!

The pandemic killed hockey attendance this year. In fact two teams opted out (though Cedar Rapids also suffered dericho damage to their arena) in a normal year Fighting Saints attendance is usually 1,500-2,000 a night.
fun times!
Thank you, ladies . I call Dubuque, Iowa home.

I love how even at the historic sites in the middle of nowhere you guys managed to find the alcohol related places.

@@thebratqueen misread your comment, deleted due to feeling silly. My apologies.
One of my ancestors was born in Dubuque in about 1836. The family lived there in Dubuque from about 1835 to about 1845, but lived elsewhere in Iowa until 1909.
So that's what you were doing while I was working
Wow, who knew Iowa was so purty!! So WHEN you do the Texas tour, one whole vid on just central Texas/Hill Country - so many many wineries and distilleries - the drunk Natalie and Tara tour!! You can take a bus tour so you're at least not driving drunk ;0)

9:56 Natalie is giving off strong Velma vibes in her orange sweater. She’s just missing a talking dog and a mystery to solve

Cutest Velma I've ever seen 😉
Born and raised. I'd suggest Eagle Point Park, the Heritage Trail, and Finley's landing as well.

I tried Gary. I tried. I actually thought of them today when I was having Lunch in Galena.
So what was the back story with all the random backseat guys in the last video...lol

Hahahahaha The guy behind Natalie was Jason C Brown the Director for Imaginary Friends the film we we made. He was at the festival with us in 2017. The other gentleman was a friend of his who drove in to watch our film 😁
Iowa. Iowa. That's where the tall corn grows. And the lead shot falls, apparently. (beard thing will happen this weekend, finally)
Tara how come your the loveliest lady in the world? Natalie you re so funny!

Dubuque was pretty darn great. Really nice people too.
Not mentioned in this video is that the Field of Dreams is only 25 miles away (about 200 miles from Chicago) and that the White Sox will play the Yankees in August just adjacent to the movie site.

We touched on it briefly at the very end of the video. When we were in Iowa in 2018 we went to the Field of Dreams. Loved every second of the experience. Not going to lie, I cried more than once. 😂 -Natalie

@@NatalieandTara OK cool. It is mentioned at the very end. Another tidbit with that movie is that our high school theater teacher canvassed rural Dubuque County for days until she helped pick the farm that met the movie executive's criteria and she also coordinated the final "traffic jam" scene at the end of the movie.

@@kencummings953 Very cool! It is such a classic movie. One of my all time faves. Gets me every time! And it is so cool they are playing a real game on the field. Would be such an amazing thing to attend!

You went to a film festival and a hockey game broke out?
Natalie
Too much silly music..
Remember everything looks pretty good on film but once you get in the car and drive around you'll see just how ghetto especially that downtown area really is
