I just learned a coat of a product called Gesso-for metal is like a coat of kilz to prep wood. Paint sticks very well using this product. Hope this helps.

I agree hand painting is cheaper than therapy for me! 😮

I guess someone said it was a pie box.. they were not happy with me for painting it. But it definitely needed it. It was already repainted before I got it🤗

This was my favorite video was going to goodwill some metal pieces, and now I am rethinking ,might regret that decision. Thanks.

I think you are right about the galvanized metal being why the 3 tier trays are showing up in thrift stores. I think galvanized is on its way out big time.

Me too.. i paint it, no problem.. oh I finally keep rewatching your video trying to figure out how you did the grain sack stripes up to the IOD animal. Finally figured you said masks that came with them. Lol.. I didn’t know what they were 🤗but sadly my animal didn’t come with any. But I’m going to try to cut some out. We will see how that goes. Keep sharing you talents. You are amazing 🤍

You know I’ve watched your channel almost from the beginning and I’ve certainly watched every video on your channel ( some twice) I look out for every new episode on the feed and calmly listen to your happy babble as you describe your finds and how you are processing your makeovers I find it so relaxing. I watch many craft channels but you are one of only 3 that I have stuck with. I’m not a perfectionist but I can’t stand sloppy, so many times I’ve watched other crafters slap on some paint and call it done and said to the screen as if they could hear me OFGS go over to Ginger Chick and see how a professional does it the right way. As usual I love everything but the watering can with the half sunflower stood out to my heart the most today.

I tell everyone that your channel is not just about watching you do flips. It’s also about learning so many tips. Such as, putting Vaseline on the tips of your glue do the cap doesn’t stick, storing your spray polycrylic upside down to reduce clogging. I hope you are enjoying your time of not having 2 full time jobs. Love what you do.

As always love, love, love. I do around 6 craft shows throughout the year mostly consisting of DIY crafts with some thrift flips thrown in that I have thrifted. I love the sunflower stamp. I’m trying to justify the cost. I hate to spend 40.00 and only be able to use it a few times without everything having a sunflower. We need Netflix for stamps.

Oh.. yes.. in my scrapbook/card making days. We each buy and then share. Unfortunately none of my friends do what I do. So .. that doesn’t work. But I’m with you. I have 3 go to stamps sets ( including the sunflowers) that I can use in my idea of remaking items. Without over doing… I usually see how they sell before making more

I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m told you can print on tissue paper. You wouldn’t find maybe the exact sunflower, but something similar I bet. When you search on google, tap images. Then on the tools bar choose large for the size. That way you get a high res image. I wouldn’t use someone else’s image and resell it, but for personal use, there are lots of free images too. I’m always looking for the budget method lol 😆

Love the watering can and crosses. I just can’t get enough of your videos. I really love the way you put the list price at the end . For a beginner that is really helpful . I have wanted this video 6 times. I just love it. Have a blessed day 💞

Beautiful ! Those should all fly out of your booth! I’m so much better at spray painting after watching you. I’ve used painters tape as transfer sheet on my vinyl when I’m worried about pulling up the base coat. Thank you for sharing your talent.

I’ve had that storage tin as you called it for 20 years. ( thrifted) 😃 it was yellow with purple and green slashes 😬. The top area said cakes and the bottom bread. I painted it white and put bread back on the bottom and (Fresh Bakery Goods) on the top lid. I’ve had it stored away with lightbulbs in it for 20 years and now it is seen daily on top of my fridge.

So much pretty stuff! It all looks wonderful. I wanted a tiered tray SO much but when I got one, my creative decorating gene must have gone on vacation because I couldn't make it look right. I finally gave up & returned it. It was too expensive to not use it! Love the clocks.

Oh.. I think there’s lots of KZread videos on decorating it. My is a collection of my small thrifted finds that I couldn’t part with.. I only change it for Christmas decor. But I get that finding stuff to fit in a tiered tray.. yep I get that

I love watching you! Every video I watch I feel like I learn something. I have to ask KZread what is up though. All the sudden I no longer get notifications of your videos. When I tried to change the bell back to ALL NOTIFICATIONS a black box comes up and says "This action is turned off for content made for kids" What is up KZread???? WHY??? I want to make sure I never miss your videos!!!!!! I am hooked. Seriously addicted. Yes I am one of those who love to just watch you paint, as I am waiting for my own paint to dry! Anyone else having this problem?

I turned a stainless steel bowl into an enameled bowl. My black is just imperfect, maybe I will just call it a factory second. It really doesn’t matter to me, though. I love it! Love each piece in this grouping!!

I watched so many of your videos and love each and everyone, you are amazing. I was wondering with all that you do for prepping did you know that I purchased spray grip for my paint cans instead of holding it down with my finger. It is game changer. Home depot sells it. You might want to try it and see if you like it. thanks for all you do and fabulous creative designs you make!
