4:55 I never cared about my health, whether I would die at 25 or 105, or anything like that until I got into my first stable relationship. Now I’m so incredibly scared of him or myself dying young. I can’t go through that, and I don’t want to make him go through it either. I found out I was losing my hair at 16 when someone sat behind me at school pointed it out. The worst thing about losing my hair is that from the front, it still looks pretty decent when I look in the mirror... I'm only ever reminded of how horrendous my hair looks when I see photos or video from any other angle. (I've done the shaved head thing but being overweight and having RBF, I end up looking really agressive)

There’s always time to try to build that in your actual irl life my dude Making friends as an adult is hard because responsibilities fall on all of you to maintain it more and not just conventional structures provided by work and school. But if you really want it, stepping out of your comfort zone will be worth it and feel like a cake walk once you’re through it. Just take one step, and if you can’t do that, take half a step, maybe even start with just moving your pinky toe if you have to. There’s no such thing as a true mistep or waste of time considering all choice will inevitably lead you to where you wanted to go if you’re genuinely serious about them. Don’t stop til your dead!

Legal disclaimer. Not medical advice just anecdotal. So I work in urology, and we prescribe finasteride 1 mg for men who want to try to retain hair. The most common side effects are improved urinary flow because it shrinks the prostate and occasional anejaculation. Which Sudafed is prescribed for if there are no cardiac concerns. The only thing that sucks is all medication to improve urinary flow affects "performance" in men.

The biggest problem with popping pimples is the bacteria you carry in your fingers, or even if you use a cloth, it will enter in the pimple and cause an infection, this is what makes the pimples look red and inflamated. Personally all my acne went away by stop touching the pimples and by washing/changing frecuently my bedsheets/pillows.

get the treatment. you always have the option of going full bald anytime but once your hairline goes past a certain point, you kinda only have that choice as Garnt said here. I shaved my head alot when i was young until college because i was too lazy to wash my hair in the morning. when covid hit i let my hair grow out up to my chest. ive cut it since and have been rocking a shorter cut up to my eyes.. My point being its always nice to have options.

@Rafael EG if you have high enough testosterone levels, you should be fine, but your loads can get smaller and just end up dribbling out. Definitely get the full suite of tests done, and monitor symptoms like that as well as the other common side effects. You might not need the full 1mg of finasteride per day prescription to maintain hair, which can help kerb side effects. For regrowth and density, they'll recommend the daily pill though. In my own journey, im coming to the conclusion its not worth it. Plus it doesn't impact dating like people think it does

Most if not all of my balding came after discovering I'm one of the unlucky bunch that deals with long covid. Severe fatigue out of nowhere, feeling brittle, nerve pain, teeth started chipping, light sensitivity, and then explosive hair loss for the first few months after getting sick. Somehow most of the hair came back but that didn't include the hairline that crept up more or less a full cm nor did the hair thickness return in full so everything within that affected area feels a bit wispier when comparing shedded strands from the top & side of the head. I took Rogaine for a couple years prior to this after finding out the top "side effect" was facial hair growth so that helping me get a fuller beard was definitely worth the effort imo. One trick I picked up to reduce shedding and this is something that can benefit women too is that after you're all done showering, finish off with a quick 10-15 second burst of cold water on the scalp to close up the pores so they hold onto the hair while drying. It prevents a lot of shedding and I've noticed I don't have to clean up the bathroom floor as often since I started doing that.
