Bruce Hornsby wrote, produced, and sang the original song that Polo G used in ‘Wishing for a Hero’. Polo G wanted to come down to Williamsburg, Virginia and ask Bruce's permission in person, but as soon as he heard what Polo G had done Bruce told him to "Save the air fare. It’s an amazing song.”
