First song I heard when the album dropped because of Black Thought his verse was on repeat because it was fire and that’s when I heard Keep Going

I love when Q-Tip says “My Era, My Era, My Era” cause he sounds like a record being scratched on a turn table. This whole song is 100% hip-hop. Like you said, lyrical monsters flexing over a beat. You can’t be a fan of rap and dislike this song. It’s everything rap should be. Easily best song on the album.

Yup! The hook, the beat, the flows, the feel... this track got EVERYTHANG! That said, I usually don't like Ems beats choices. It's all too commercial or sing-songy. Impact rap what I call it. Man, just get a hot beat and spit raw. Stop tryna do epic rap ballads, Em!

@peter studios the technical rhyme schemes he comes up with and technical cadences. Eminem's verses go over almost everyone's head that is not a true true hip hop head. It isn't cringe. It's technicality of advanced rap

@@oso3202 not really his context is never deep. His whole style is best revolved around word play. But black thought is giving a whole history lesson like "break through like Chesimard" and "keep em guessing hard" a black women who broke free on the loose back in the days free movement. And then referring to his words as the same as it's deep in context. He's giving a whole description and whole life story I mean listen to the words hes saying in his 10 minute free style. While Eminem "I just adapt to the climate, I treat it like my Levi's When they ain't buttoned up right" like it's not bad its very clever "word play" hence why he's called the rhyme king not the lyric or deep or anything else as much his speciality lays within his word play context which is impressive on its own however he won't give you a deep meaning of live as much he did like all rappers in a few songs such as mocking bird which is my favourite but that's not where his speciality lays. Its fast rapping with his technical ability.

I'm so glad you said it's hip hop. YOU DAMN RIGHT IT IS. I'm super delighted that Em took it there to remind gen -x that this is what hip hop is not water down rap, HIP HOP. Too many rappers are jumping in this game being mad disrespectful to the vets when a lot of the vets got lethal lyrics and cared about the craft and the original form of hip hop. It's one of my favorites as well.
