It's litterly why the song is called Alfred's Theme. People who think it's a trash beat pull up Alfred Hitchcock's theme song by itself and listen to it then re-listen to this song and see how much talent it takes to make that music the prominent part of a hip-hop beat. This one is the beat equivalent to people saying Em is trash because they aren't knowledgeable enough to understand the references he is making to flip the bar into 2, 3, 5 different meanings all at once. Then anyone who fully understands it and still doesn't care for it, fine, but at least comprehend what you're listening to before trashing it.

I'm disappointed in this one. He got stuck on the instrumental which was eminem paying homage to alfred Hitchcock, and he paid no respect to the lyrics. He actually said what is eminem really saying. Wow. You wasnt paying attention. This is actually one of the best tracks on ems new album. And you let the beat that was homage get passed you. Seriously, people need to know more information before they are allowed to critique anything. You didnt even know that this beat is actually a classic and epic beat for it's time. As a kid when I heard this theme on the TV i knew my favorite shit was on. And then Alfred would walk onto his shadow silhouette. Bro. You have no idea what you just trashed. Smh. But overall this song is definitely a pass. beat is like a 6/10 and lyrics 8/10. even when you give this beat a 5/10 the 2 factors combined would still be enough to say this song would pass

This ain't it fam I get not liking the beat, but it's literally Alfred's Theme. Who else is would take that sample, turn it into a 5 minute cypher, have multiple flows on it, and be firing off high caliber word play & syllable rhymes the whole time? As far as not "talking about anything", so what? You've passed plenty of songs on this channel that weren't saying/talking about anything either, and that didn't have this level of lyricsism

Shady used to rap over weird beats, so he’s continuing that gimmick here. Also, it shows how good he is at having a flow as he can rap over a chaotic beat and still be better than most artists out.

I think people are totally missing the mark with complaining about the beat. The beat is the old time famous horror/murder director Alfred Hitchcock’s theme on a loop. That’s why it’s called “Alfreds Theme.” Thats kind of the point of the whole thing. As far as what he’s talking about…it’s not random words. He’s talking about murdering bars throughout the song. Just like the original Alfred Hitchcock talked about murder on the show. The whole thing is a pastiche. He’s embodying Alfred Hitchcock - only as a rapper depicting a tale of lyrics.

The main effect of this song is em getting to express himself with nothing holding him back . I mean not even this beat could stop him from spitting In a straight fluid flow with no chorus to help him. Em and his skill are just layer out to the world in this song. I added it to my playlist for that reason.
