Trasco Bremen 1000 SEL: Victory on the Battlefield of Innovation
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
💥 MERCH IS HERE: www.patinacollective.com/ 💥
Out of the many custom Mercedes at the Patina Collective, a handful of them truly standout. This Trasco Bremen 1000 SEL is one of them! Trasco began like many other German tuning companies... flashy custom interiors, enhanced optics... but with Germany domestic turmoil between East and West that resulted in public acts of terror resulted in a new path for Trasco. One that would go beyond bulletproof, with full bombproof limousines. This Mercedes tuner developed much of the bulletproof, bomb-roof, and armoring technologies we see today. This particular Trasco 1000 SEL was a demo used by the company in the 1980s, which was ultimately purchased from the showroom floor. Now, it shall be enshrined at the Patina Collective Museum!

From the famous AMG Hammer to the Koenig Specials 560 SEC, The Patina Collective is home to the world's most unique and influential Mercedes-Benz. We are not car guys though. We are culture guys. We appreciate these cars for their cultural relevance and the eras of Miami Vice and 80s opulence that they symbolize. The rarest tuner Mercedes from SGS Styling Garage, ABC Exclusive, Koenig Specials, RennTech, Brabus, pre-merger AMG, Gemballa, Maybach, and more, all lie within our Mercedes collection in Boca Raton, Florida. Benz culture runs deep in our blood and we aim to share with you all our passion, knowledge, and dedication to keeping these widebody cars alive. This is more than a car collection for us - more than a vintage Mercedes collection - it is a preservation of global cultural history!

In this era of 90s where cost was irrelevant & the genius mind of Bruno Sacco is when I as a child fell in love with Mercedes. The Day my Father came home with a 190e Cosworth😍😍 thank you patina for immortalising that era with all you do. 🤜🤛

Unfortunately the last era where the cost was irrelevant was the 1980s for Mercedes, not the 90s. The W140 was the last Mercedes that was built to a standard and not to a cost point and it was mostly made in the 80s with a release in the early 90s. The 90s saw the likes of W202 and W210 and the 3v engines that shared a lot of parts. Not to mention the birth of the Smart and the Daimler Chrysler merger.
I live in Bremen, and when i See this doku from you guys, and your love to mercedes is legendary,i am proud and work for the Label mercedes benz, and watch every Video

I also worked on Mercedes-Benz cars. In the 1970s, ARMOURED OR NOT, they were EASILY the best made cars on the world, BAR NONE. WHAT HAPPENED to that quality???

Most underrated Benz channel, period. Please open that Museum ASAP so that no one can deny the level of dedication and knowledge at hand here. Unreal ✌️🤘
OLD IS GOLD ❤❤❤
Well done fellas, taking the culture to a new level with these videos.
What brilliant content. Well done guys
Trasco was the perfect limosine in the 90's
I had no dea the W126 was so iconic until I got one and started to notice it in like literally every movie...
Yooooo patina boys, i just wanna say im so impressed by you guys because what you are doing is insane and not easy at all. Love to see all those gems arrive keep up the vlogs for ever please!!!!!🙏🏻
I've watched this video a few times and I love listening to the history lesson behind the cars. Hope to see many more from the Patina collective
Their coach building was so good, that they even started off with beat up cars and totally refurbished them body and mechanically.. It was so good, that the London MB dealership we used even praised the 3 we had on fleet....
This is the best video content! History and development of anything related to MBZ
Love these historic videos, this museum will be legendary
Nicely done everyone at Patina Collective! We love it. Please share with us more retro history of these rare benzes

Fortunately, ordinary nobodies like me can safely take the identical route every single day and no one gives a hoot. However, during my spy savvy years, I actually did meticulously change my routes and perform imitations of what I heard real spies would do to shake off their tails. Must have worked because they never caught me…
Fabulous content, congratulations 😊
Ever since childhood, I’ve had a fascination with armoured cars. Me best moment was seeing JFK’s limo in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn MI. They also have Reagan’s limo in there. I also once had the pleasure of driving an armoured Ford Granada. Super cool.
Vico, Daniel - just awesome guys! Hope I can get over from the UK one day to see the collection. Loved this vid! 🙂
Excellence, once again. Patina Boys, taking production to a higher level - AGAIN!
Knocked it out of the park with is format, instant subscriber. More documentary style content!

Thank you for giving us young who are in to mercedes historiy so I can keep the STAR.. ALIVE IN DENMARK SO THE YOUNG GEN CAN DRIVE PROPPER GANGSTAS
You guys took this to the next level...loving the intro and the full story about the car...looking forward for the next one.
No car beats the timeless stance and beauty of MB W126...
Very nice video, but there was no information about the machine. As far as I know it uses a 5,6L from the 560SEL. The name 1000 SEL just sounded more powerful
Too dope guys, wonderful lesson. Been seeing Trasco G classes on the James Edition site. Now I know who Trasco is❤ much love from South Africa
The quality of your production is. amazing as your collection, you guys are on fire!

Hats off for the efforts in doing a documentary style video! Worth watching
What a great documentary!
Wonderful!
I was a teenager when I went to the Earls Court Car show here in London. There was a Trasco booth! There was also a Trasco showroom in Park Lane W1. These Mercedes Trasco 1000SELs were just awesome
Next level of content. Learned alot
Good to be reminded how some of the wicked things going on in the '70s and '80s in Europe
Legit I enjoy Watching these types of edits/Content ! Keep killin’ It Patina Fam! ya’ll Legendary af 🤌🏽🔥
Omg ! This car is a master piece
Great video .. well done..
Wow! Great films thanks guys , very educational and motivating for Mercedes owners . I can see now why a lot of people think the W140 double glazed windows are bullet proof but obviously they’re not. A very cool feature too! 😎👍
Nice car and really nice story. This video format is so cool
Phenomenally produced video.
Top notch
Finally found out which head unit one of my remote controls is for
Fabulous educational video
I think this beast weighs something close to four tons. If you've ever opened the door of an armored vehicle, it gives a new perspective on things.
I didn't know that Trasco once lead the game, as today the factory armoured cars lead the way and Trasco typically only offers lower grade bulletproofing for the s class and other limousines that are also factory armored. They do do the full bullet and bomb-proofing on suvs like the g-class though...
Wow, some tasteful Merc's and Volvo's in those old workshop stills
What an intro!!!! So informative
Your best produktion yet🎉
tnx for the video
This is my favourite car
Sehr geil 🎉
At one point I forgot I was watching patina collective😂 great video as usual 🔥
Lets go! Been waiting for something new..
Bremen mentioned 🎉😂 I miss the old times and the w126, w124 and w201
Notification 'On'. 👍
Trasco boyzzz
This is amazing boys, only 3 minutes in but just had to say it #BenzBoyz
Great content
these guys make a bullet proof db11. damn
Waooo next leve doc
Let's go!!!🔥
Pretty sure nowadays you can even order those kinds of stretched armored cars with slide-up, bulletproof privacy screens between the driver and the rest of the cabin. Not to mention, there's no customization that such a company cannot do, only something you have yet to think of. When you're spending that kind of money, as long as you're willing to spend more, there's nothing that you cannot request.
Huh, new day, new knowledge. 8:36 shows ZIL-41047TB, created by Trasco Bremen in 1994 by themselves in attempt to get some orders from ex-soviet republics. Despite being build according to internal standards, they forgot to reinforce the suspension, and it quickly went to the bin. Later on these were used as reserve vehicles.
Amazing documentary gentlemen!!! But wasn't your first one the one about Evan lendel? Either way I'm here for each and everyone! Great video, thanks!!!
It's interesting that they used the "1000 SEL"-name, which was also used by SGS (another german tuner) for an S-class they widened by CUTTING IT DOWN THE MIDDLE and adding a few centimeters
08:36 - soviet zil's made me laughing and laughing... )))
That Benz was all things considered not in bad shape
Easy enough to pop that tow hook cover panel in at 11:45 but those bent horizontal slats on the grill detract from the car's beauty.
You had to add to this video assassination for Eduard Shevarnadze on Feb 9 1998, he was on armored 600 SEL and survived after attacking by RPG and bunch of AK47's After that Mercedes gave him another W140 for free
@test143000

"attempted assassination", otherwise they could provide a new car only to transport a corpse
Nice video. Very well made. - But next time please do the effort and put in the rear left jacking point cover (should be useable from every W126) and click in the front tow hock cover. The car deserves it to be present in mint condition. ;-) - Hoping for more great vids of yours. 🙂
🔥
The Best or Nothing.
Da hab ich mal gearbeitet 😊
Lets go
Do they have any ties with Centagon Armored Vehicles ?
I wonder if Eduard Shevardnadze was in one of these when attackers shot 2 RPGs at his car in 1998
Nobody noticed that the lid for the front towing is not closed properly.
The front lower right bumper’s tow hook cover is crooked…tisk tisk
Interesting to see that Trasco made armoured ZILs for the Russians...
mashallah
Man I need a nicer package benz but the rates are so high rn 😢

Gotta go back in time my man. Legendary Benz chassis are out there going for peanuts (granted needing plenty of deferred maintenance), but still. Old is Gold! Especially with Benz. If you haven't experienced the older ones, you might be in for a serious shock.
👍👍👍
8:35 aaa epic Russia Presidential Limousines

As an Indian i have never heard of this.

GTA V mechanic makes this look easier 😂
