The big spotted one that keeps charging is trying to scare him off but because he's holding his ground, she's double checking herself and not wanting to get attacked back in case he might actually be stronger than her.

My mother grew up near Mineola in east Texas, they had pigs on the farm, one of the pigs was named "Judy Boo-Kus" and that pig was notorious for eating the center of melons, but Judy Boo-Kus ended up on the dinner table, which always seems right, as I think about it. My mother had rural sayings including "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear."

I don't know how often you need to move your trap, but I move mine around quite a bit. I had been attaching my panels with wire (looks like you do too) but on several occasions a big boar busted the double wire tie at the bottom of a panel junction, and the whole damn sounder escaped. I started using hose clamps, easy to install (as easy as that drill twisted wire) and reusable. No breakouts since. I found the 3" all stainless clamps for $92 per 100 with free shipping. Bill in Florida.

Hi Willie, thanks for the comments. I've had this trap in three different locations. When I first built it, I had 1 boar bust through. I added more ties close to the bottom and haven't had any bust through since. I had a few escape when my door springs got weak. After I added new door springs, I haven't had any escape. I've been thinking about building a second trap. Good luck with your trapping PS: The hose clamps are a great idea.

Ye , like 80% of wild hogs have dangerous worms Trichinella Spiralis, which located in hogs meat and when you do eat infected meat ,later those parasites will incapsulate in your muscles plus might even cause your death jn some cases and it's almost impossible to kill them with anti-parasitic drugs. Best way to prepare meat in order to kill those worms is deep freeze for at least 1 week. Or boil meat for couple of hours in 100+ Celsius. Frying meat won't do any affect.
