Season 2 please I keep on watching season 1 over and over again!

Absolutely brilliant series, totally addictive, but I don't understand how suddenly in the last episode they could hear Ella without a radio, and how Ella lifted up the hatch if she's a ghost? Anyway I'm dismayed to find it ended on a cliffhanger and no season 2, I feel there's so much more mileage from this, and who was that dude in the woods? And does Ella get rid of her dark side ghost or not?
