Guys who are highly dramatic and emotional are very hard to date long term. They are a lot of fun at first, but the longer the relationship runs, the more difficult it becomes. I have a feeling they will do great... for a while... then the reality of his impulsivity and her having a baby will shut things down... not to mention compulsive weekly church attendance.

It's so interesting that she would prefer a Christian man, when she herself doesn't live a Christian lifestyle (e.g. having sex before marriage, kissing lots of guys in one night). It shouldn't come as a surprise to her that the men she attracts are non-Christian men given that the life she lives doesn't reflect that of a Christian's.
I wish both of them so much self awareness, healing & therapy. Also…good luck kid. 😩
I can not get over her continuous insistence that he go to church EVERY WEEK.
the religious difference is never gonna stop being a problem if she makes him go to church with her. either he’s going to have to spend an hour or two lying every week or he’s going to come into regular conflict with others who aren’t as tolerant of him not believing as she is. the only way the difference could really be settled is them both actually respecting each other’s approach to faith: him being okay with her attending, and her being okay with him not attending.
@DisappointedButNotSurprised666

This is so right, like he already isn't disagreeing with her faith and if that was me I'd be constantly debating that faith with her because I don't agree with it. He's already so supportive of her faith and she should give that to him in return.

I agree. I can see it as a thing you want your partner to see, your hobbies, or in this case something more to her, but it doesn't mean he has to come to all of them as hes not religious in my eyes. Your right, but she did say that it was more of a supportive gesture rather than him actually believing. In my case, my dad is an atheist while my mother and i are christian, we dont expect him to change his beliefs, but we do find it sweet and thoughtful when he agrees to go to church with us, not because it makes us think maybe he will convert, its because it makes us feel loved and greatfull that he cares enough *for us* to join us in this thing he may not agree with.

This girl is setting off so many red flags in my brain! And weirdly this guy isn't really setting off any. The girl continuing to talk about how he should come to church because its part of her identity was bad but not the worst. It really made me upset when she would fish for things, almost as if she wanted HIM to realize he loved her. "What do you miss about me?" "Do you ever miss anything about me?" I know people are complicated and do things for their own reasons, and while I don’t really understand or agree with Tauvias life choices, I do appreciate that she is forthright about her expectations of Alfonso. If he knows that weekly church attendance and raising someone else’s kid is part of the package, and he wants to involve himself, I wish them the best, truly.
Here's my take on it. She stated how she began falling for him again whenever he became 'reliable' to her, after the Korean guy broke her trust. I think she only wants a relationship with him to have support raising her baby. Obviously, this would be completely immoral - so I think she's using the excuse to herself of rekindling feelings. They may be there, but that's not the main reason why she wants to get back together. I think the dude came mainly for closure, because he's felt guilty for a while. In conclusion, they shouldn't get back together, or continue being 'friends'. This will result in them both remaining delusional and not having solicited time to heal.

These are real people, not one of those "nerd gets rejected by prom queen, 10 years later pregnant prom queen begs nerd for a ride in his corvette" memes.
I feel bad for the Korean guy who she broke up with and told that she was going to America. I hope he has the option to at least visit occasionally or FaceTime her and his baby. The fact that he asked her to do this box challenge, it would be weird if he didn't accept her date request. The fact that she said yes to the box challenge, it would be weird if she wasn't interested in a possible relationship.
All I gotta say is this is a huge train wreck waiting to happen. the fact that she wants him to go to the church every week because it's her identity is so toxic. like girl. it's your identity not his. especially with his religious trauma, she shouldn't be so pushy about it. it's like he has to accept the fact that she is religious but she can't accept that he's not. no fucking way. also, you can totally be the one who's in charge of your life even if you believe in god. obviously it's her religion and her choice so as long it's really what she wants then it's fine, just don't push it on other people.

Same. I wouldn't go weekly but maybe once every 3 months (staying outside probably) or to hang out with my partner's religious friends and know them a bit would be ok, but I'm not really all that for pretending to be like I do believe lol, especially if I have traumas or bad experiences like its implied he did. Most likely, if people at the church found out he was an atheist they would either try to push him into religion more and more, or trash talk him on his back about how disrespectful it is to come to church without being a believer lol. Had an aunt who forced her fiance to accompany her to church, and part of the reason of why they broke up was that the church friends talked trash about the atheist fiance to my aunt every single day, and made her feel like it was disrespectful to god to be with an atheist, and if she did she was worth less as a person

The guilt and self-work you need to do on yourself to better your wrongs is insanely draining.
