Trapped fox needs rescuing from garden tangle!
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
We deal with a lot of animals trapped in netting here at Wildlife Aid, but washing line proved to be a little more of a challenge!
Simon was quickly on scene after reports that this male fox had managed to get his leg caught in the wire, but the tough braided core proved to be quite a tricky thing to deal with...
Luckily, we carry enough equipment to always come up with a way, but we have now added specialist cutters to our kit just in case!

I love foxes. I have local foxes, they have been raised in the area, and so were their parents. I feed them several times per week.

This dude used to have his own doco show on UK TV that I watched over 20 years ago… Calls in the middle of a winter night, below zero conditions, to rescue any living being… this dude is a true hero… he’ll go through hell for any animal…

@@wildlifeaid what a lovely man, talking to this fox, doing all he can to help release him so very gently, and safely. Training the young lad, so he can continue this very important, valuable job. Blessings Love Light to All at Wildlife Aid, for showing the very best of Humanity. 🙏🙏🙏❤💜❤💫✨⭐
They definitely know when they're being helped, that fox was large enough to cause real problems if it had gone crazy throughout the rescue. Well done lads! 🙂💚💚

It takes some time for them to realize they get help, get comfortable with the handling, but then they slow down. Ounce saw 4 men wrestling with a deer being on the wrong side of the high way fence. I hope it ended well some way or the other.

That's anthropomorphism. The fox had no idea it was being helped.
So glad you talk to them gently, some ppl don't. I think the tone/energy helps, poor babies are so scared of us. Thank you for all your work.

He also would have noticed that as he was being handled by human hands, the gentleness was palpable. Touching animals gently while talking gently makes an impression.

I agree. I see so many that don't talk. There's a lot to be said for a reassuring tone and a gentle touch. I'm sure the animals understand too.

@@joachimhofler1497You are maybe right, but wildlife has no owner to pay for that.
Lawrie's ever the photographer lol, scruffing a fox but also holding onto a go pro at the right angle and being willing to be used as a balance for the grasper pole too 😂 So glad this little guy was still feisty/bitey and could be released right away. Sure got himself into a tangle.

Every single intro credit for Lawrie is absolute gold. Besides the animal being rescued and hearing Simon say “alright foxy-dox”, it’s the highlight of the episode for me.

You just don't see much good in our world anymore. This rescue of the fox was wonderful. I have four rescue cats and 2 more coming. One was a kitten that i heard meowing non stop in the middle of the road in front of my home. I meowed and it came running up my drive, onto the porch and into the house. She is the most loving of them all. They live indoors with me. They have climbing towers, pet beds, toys and get the best all natural foods. Two of them sleep at the end of my bed. At 68 now, they are my family.

Dear Simon. Have watched your work with Wildlife for many years. Thank you
Thank you, Simon and team, for taking care of the animals who aren't pets... Foxes are smart but sometimes they get trapped like this one here. Like you said - this washing line can cause some serious damage. Luckily this fox wasn't trapped heavily.
You two are AWESOME! I have so much respect for you all and your experience in handling the beautiful fox🦊. I had three babies playing close to my yard while my neighbor and I were talking. I had my hoe, because I was doing some weeding in my flower garden at the edge of my driveway. Where there are babies the mother can't be far. So after watching them play for a while we decided to leave just in case the mother show up. I had the feeling that she was watching all along. 🦊🦊🦊🌟
Love these guys ..

Whilst I'm glad the people who live there called you to rescue the fox, I am bloody sick and tired of people leaving their gardens full of rubbish that harms wildlife! Would it have killed them to put that wire in a shed, or garage, or under the kitchen sink?! Thank the Goddess this didn't end badly for the poor fox. And, as ever, thank you chaps for going out and freeing him!
