Traore hesitates taking a photo with new US Ambassador to Burkina
This is the new US ambassador to Burkina Faso Mrs Joann Marie Lockard going to present her credentials to the Burkinabe President Captain Ibrahim Traore.
She was the third diplomat among the ten who presented credentials to the 36 year old President on June 28th 2024.
And while receiving her, Captain Ibrahim Traore at first hesitated to take a photo with her, until he was reminded by the cameraman about it.
Anyway, Mrs Joann Marie Lockard is a career diplomat, she has held several high positions in the public administration of her country and will have her residence in Burkina Faso, and the presentation of the letters of credence to President Captain Ibrahim Traoré marked the official start of her mission to Burkina Faso, with her work being to strengthen ties between the United States and Burkina.
