AMAZING video brother thanks for this! Always appreciate a video as well-crafted as the product!
Absolutely fantastic video Alex! You really are killing it with these guides. I will definitely be doing this instead of trying to find a peli case that fits in size next time!

Thanks Hans! Yeah they're really practical for builds that simply don't line up with standard sizing, plus because you control all the variables you can add features that aren't available in solutions like that.
Amazing video, love this. Question when you do this how tight is the foam to the case? Also do you put anything inside the case for shipping, foam or such, or do you disassemble stuff like the graphics card?
Excellent job!
Damn bro, that looks so good
impressive! Thanks!
That looks amazing, great job! How much did it cost you in materials to build roughly?
That Flight case actually looks better than the PC. Great job!

You see watercooling PCs every day. But not these cool flight cases. All mods from Bit-tech already look great. Looking forward to more such stuff!
Super interesting video thanks! How does the water cooling work with air transport? Does the pressure difference while flying effect it? Do you do anything special to mitigate that?
oh i love this and i think i would have fun practicing making a flight case for my works laptop and gear.

They're simply handy things to have around. Used the same methods to make cases for all manner of fragile things, particularly good for camera equipment
High quality build! Now I'm thinking of using something like this to stow my mid tower away. When moving the RV I plan to live in. Now one question I will ask. Will I need to add extra foam inside the computer to protect the GPU? If I were to use a case like this.
Good job 🤙
this is so cool
do you have a link to buy the plastic corners_ i don't find it in my country, thanks! great work buy the way.
looking to make the same case for a new build of mine and was wondering where you can get a hold of the parts. I cant seem to find them on the penn elcom shop, but they are listed on the product page though??
3:54: rivets without washer + wood = epic fail xD

That's largely why I say don't use MDF, I had to because it was the only material available to me at short notice. That said, ridged rivets are designed for soft materials like wood and will work perfectly, no washer required.

@@AutodidactEngineer Yeah well you tried to deny Matilda her right to proper education.
might be doing this for my 3d printers too. Looks simple.
Nice!!!
An estimate of how much making the case in terms of cost materials would have been nice.
Awesome mate, can you drop one off to me in Thailand lol
i still think it's safer to disassemble the PC and pack them separately, i mean, if the pc isn't stuffed with anything, a shock from transporting could damage the PC anyway even with that much padding
is there a space inside? or close tight?
Can you provide the links where you buy the aluminium parts
Do you accept payments for custom built ones?
I would never trust such a design as it could break and the computer fall right to the ground. A much better design would be to have two walls on the bottom platform with handles on them to prevent the latches from breaking. Those latches were not meant for the kind of strain a really expensive computer can put on it considering they could easily be popped open by brushing up against the side of something.
I'm reading through the guide on your website, and I have a question about the dimensions -- the N-case 2 system uses an extrusion for the lid with its own thickness -- should I incorporate this thickness and that of the other side of the rim when measuring the dimensions for the panels?
Can you please add a link to the plastic case corners and where to order them online (europe)?
could you build me a custom itx-mobo supported Aluminum brief case pc case with room for a psu and 270mm gpu
This would be awesome to use for a custom DIY computer case instead of just a flight case! Do you have a link to a reputable seller for the bars and corner brackets? What handle did you use? Imagine if somehow the latches at the bottom panel snapped open during transport? That would be a nightmare!

Penn Elcom are the ones you want to use, best check online for a local reseller or browse their shop. Handy thing with the latches is that many of them can be locked, which prevents that risk plus provides a little more security.

@@bittech1 Thank you so much!! I will definitely be using those brackets and stuff. Very handy. I might use MDF as well because it is slightly cheaper and easier to cut by hand tools.

@@DoomWalker42 Definitely worth using plywood or polypropylene board for this tbh. I only used MDF as it was what was available on the day, the case will be significantly stronger and lighter with ply and it's still easy to work with.
No washers on the back of your pop rivets?
So you would check this as baggage?
The first rivet you put in the handle without a washer on the inside popped out when you put in the second, Fail!
why no riveting of the corner pieces? is it unnecessary?
@bittech1

These particular ones you don’t rivet there, others do though so make sure to use the correct method for the pieces you use.

I see. thank you. have you ever tried using aluminum panels? like the appropriate thickness diamond plate? that would make for a super tough case id think. hell, i might even use these to make matching suitcases for a lot cheaper than those fancy ones.

also wondered if the cabin air pressure changes could cause a custom loop to leak.
@bittech1

It shouldn’t do, but I would always send a system drained. You definitely could use aluminium panels, but the weight will start to pile up unless you use really thin material. Commercial cases use ply or polypropylene, so it’s more than capable.
when the tools cost more than just buying the damn flight case, DOH!
@bittech1
5 жыл бұрын
Bah you can make one with a drill, a hand rivet gun and a jigsaw (or handsaw if you’re determined). A good flight case will set you back hundreds, emphasis on the good part there.
@hardkore360

@@bittech1 those edge pieces are not very economical in price, I made my own DDJ -SZ flight case and avoided using them like the plague, not to mention the corner pieces and the handle
*Instead of fiber board I would just use aluminium!*
particle board is the worst stuff you can use for a flight case...

the kind of video i hate to see. its amazing work and you dont wanna say anything bad ,but its lame
