my work gave me a 1 hour video about this and I was DREADING it. Thank you for this quick and easy tutorial!! Also, I did chuckle when you decided to use German to translate Manager Training, knowing it´ll be exactly the same HAHA

1 hour! Yeah, there's no need for that. As for the German, yeah, I don't think I could have picked a worse example! :)

you can export XLIFF as a file, use AI to translate it and import it again to localize the file.

This is super helpful. One question I had I'm hoping you might be able to help with is that I was looking to minimize the number of learning modules we create to limit the number of curriculas we build in our LMS. I had looked to create one module where uses can select the language they want to use. So from the main cover page of the module you would click a button that supports the language you want the rest of the module to show in (e.g. english, french, spanish). The only way I can see to do this is to translate slide by slide as your building. It would be by far easier and less confusing to use a process like you have shown above. Do you have any tips on this?

I have the exact solution for you, as I do this for one of my clients. I'll record a video and post it as soon as I can :)

Okay, not enough time to record a video, but I want to give you the answer: 1 - Build the course in English. Export the Translation Word document. Copy and paste the word Doc for each translator. Send that to your translators. 2 - Copy and Paste the English course (the Storyline file). For each copy, rename to the language it is for, e.g. Spanish, Chinese... 3 - Then the Word translation documents come back. Import each translation into each course, according to the language. 3A - You will now have lots of storyline courses. All the same topic, but all in different languages. 4 - Build a NEW Storyline course (the Master Course). Only build 1 slide, this is the Menu slide where the Learner can choose their language. 5 - Import EACH Storyline language course into the Master Course (You can import a Storyline file in a similar location to importing a PowerPoint file). Yes, you can import lots of Storyline courses into 1 course. 6 - Have triggers linking each Button for the Language from the Menu slide, to go to the correct Language. Essentially you are creating branching. Each branch is the language. 7 - IMPORTANT: On the LAST SLIDE of EACH LANGUAGE, have a trigger. The Trigger to say that when the Timeline Starts on this Course, Mark the Course as COMPLETE 8 - Go to PUBLISH. Choose the Completion reason to be "Trigger Complete / Passed" (or something very similar to that). This way when the Learner gets to the Last Slide of their language, the SCORM will tell the LMS that the course is complete. I hope this all makes sense and helps? :)

how about the %results% bits ? Do we just dont touch those texts at all, I mean the whole screen text?

Don't change anything that looks technical, if that makes sense. %Results% should stay in English.

Great video, have you translated any Rise courses yet? I'm going to be doing this shortly with multiple languages and any top tips would be really useful :)

I'm on it. Looks harder than I first thought. Why have they made it more complex in Rise?!?!?
