Sir, I was very scared.in this sentence SCARED is adjective and was is linking verb which denotes the state.

In this video I am only teaching about transitive and Intransitive verb. So scared is an Intransitive verb with no object given in the sentence. ( I was very scared to climb the stair. ) This given sentence in the bracket is a sentence with object and it will be called transative verb.
