Transient Thermal Analysis Example in Ansys Mechanical

This video shows an example of a transient thermal analysis in Ansys Mechanical including conduction, convection, and radiation in order to simulate a hazardous material cabinet subjected to an external fire. Fluid116 elements were used to model the air inside the cabinet, and temperature dependent convection was used both inside and outside of the cabinet. Temperature dependent thermal conductivity was also taken into account for the steel cabinet material. This example comes from DRD’s Ansys Mechanical Thermal Simulation course.
