I'll be honest Alex, I haven't watched many of your videos since before you went on T. The second you started speaking in this video I burst into gross tears. I cannot believe how deep your voice has gotten and how much you've changed. I'm so, so happy and proud with how far you've come. I can't wait to continue watching your videos and seeing how much farther you'll go ❤️

I've heard canola oil can help stimulate hair growth too. My cis (female) friend used it on her eyebrows and it definitely made a difference! So maybe other trans guys without access to his treatment would wanna look into that.

J Bird Cosmetic surgery to change your age is in the name. It's cosmetic. With gender reassignment, everything changes. Your appearance, the way people adress you, the way you think about yourself and much more. Regarding transgender people having surgeries, the MAJORITY of the operations that happen are paid for by the people themselves. The reason why most people choose to pay for it themselves is because either they have to (transgender people who live in the US) or because they want to go privately and receive these surgeries faster than they would on the NHS (UK) Also, there have been dozens of studies outlining the fact that being transgender is actually real. It isn't in the mind or something that people just make up. It is proven that when someone is transgender their brain actually resembles the gender that they want to transition to. Do you really believe that people would choose to be transgender when they have to fear for their safety everyday for being who they are? And do not feel pity for transgender people. We are simply going through life like anyone else would, with just a few more hurdles in the way. I'm getting my qualifications and going to college just like any other teenager would and I don't need people to think of me as a liability or a cause for concern.

It's nothing to do with that, beards just tend to be strongest and thickest on and under the chin, it's why you see so many people sporting neck beards or a 'throatee' because it's the only place they get good growth. It's totally normal with or without minoxidil, so saying 'just use less on your neck' is silly.

Does Rogaine permanently kill your follicles if you stop using it? I’m a pre-testosterone trans guy and had a pretty naturally hairy face. I started using Minoxidil last year for about 3-6 months and then stopped. Now all my original hair hasn’t grown back! I’m freaking out that Minoxidil has killed all my follicles so that when I start Testosterone I’m not going to have any facial hair. Can you reassure me that this isn’t the case? What can I do to get my original hair to grow back?

IGGY NORD You have to use it consistently twice a day every day for at least 12 weeks to see any hair growth, and it needs to stay on the skin for 4 hours without exposure to water or other moisture that will wash it off... So, there's no way it could've had an effect on his tongue. Also, it only works where you have hair follicles and no one has any hair follicles on their tongue, so it's impossible to start with =P I'd be more worried about his poisoning himself by accidentally eating too much of it =/

Hey also!!!! There's a really hugely rare side effect of it which is it can give you a tremor. Like I said it's super rare but my friend did get it and since stopping, he still gets it a little bit in the morning. Just a heads up.

Minoxidil burns my face away, I can't use it for more than a few days. No matter how much I moisturize my skin, it has too much alchocol in it. I've been on T almost 3 years and haven't got any beard at all. You're lucky.

Was considering using this to fix my hair loss problem from too much bleaching, but then I heard the side effects and was like NOPE XD That being said, the progress looks fantastic and I'm so happy for you!!

he said it reverses if the hair hasn't matured yet. So I'm guessing you can stop using it eventually without reverse effects?

astroscyph Once facial hair matures into androgynised hair it doesn't stop growing or get thinner, which is why many trans women have laser hair removal. Until then though, it's like the rest of your body hair.
