I bet that tentacle thing is a quintesson-a transformer creator. They once ruled cybertron and enslaved the transformers, so this could be that story while also building optimus prime and Megatron's story.

Tyrone is one of the people that already used to see it on the side of Optimus and Megatron fighting always each other. But as soon the toned shift go back in time before the war where everything not serious and goofy fun where 2 rivals are friends its been immeadiately been shut down for them. It’s just me or the 1.40 of the trailer hits like the process to become a Toa, like in bionicle?

I feel like people just find anything to complain over, mostly the 80's and 90's people. Which is funny because g1 also had cheeky comedy as well, and they complained for this trailer. I personally prefer cheeky comedy over whatever Revenge of the fallen called "comedy" very few of those jokes worked

but to be fair, this looks and sounds like space smurfs in space. Nothing to do with the comics, and the origin story of Megatron. Even the G1 cartoon was not like this. it is a shame

??? • Shares the same origin in the comics of Megatron starting off as an Energon miner • Transformers society is repressed (also like the comics) • Optimus and Megatron are basically brothers (comics) • Sentinel Prime rules over Cybertron (just like the comics) And: • G1 was lighthearted and was goofy like this. Not to mention so was Beast Wars, the Unicorn Trilogy, Animated, Cyberverse, and Earthspark

​​@@justalad57in the comics Megatron started as miner and was a gladiator in the pits.Were he fought life and death matches. Not really the same story. Were do see that they were repressed in the trailer? The G1 cartoon had an episode with Orion pax and Megatron, Megatron killed directly some transformers there including Orion Pax. And he after that he was rebuilded as Optimus Prime by Alpha trion. No bumbelbee or b52 in that story. Yeah G1 was goofy and cluncky some times. But there was a serious undertone, and if you compare TF cartoon movies, the 1986 movie was way more serious and dark, gritty and brutal compared to this movie. (I know its before the war, but still) And even the original comics were dark,brutal and serious, The robots looked really like robots. I hoped for that or like the war on cybetron series on Netflix. (Cybertron based stories) But let them surprise me, and hopefully the second movie is darker

Tyrone pretty much the only true and honest reaction that we all feelin'. Everybody else with their fake smiles and laughs. Honestly, what has Paramount done? If they wanted to make a kid's cartoon they should have just used an anime-style toon shader, not rendered with realistic lighting and textures. What a waste of great VFX talent and resources.
