The only Megatron who was intelligent, intimidating, and would kill you without any remorse. He also has an awesome voice. This Megatron is by far the best Megatron we have gotten so far.

This Megatron was impressive because aside from Omega Supreme, Optimus Prime in the finale, and possibly Ultra Magnus, no other autobot was a match for This version of Ol’ Bucket Head

The only Megatron that killed Starscream right away after one of his treacherous schemes. Every single other Megatron kept a traitor in his gang for no reason, but TFA Megatron was smart, thankfully.

James Porter Awful reason. That Megatron's made tons of mistakes and proven his incompetence by allowing him to live SEVERAL times. He's not a better ally at all, he sucks at fighting and he's barely smart, unlike Starscream from TFA who's both physically powerful, has great weapons and is also really cunning and intelligent.

I just have one thing to say about this version of Megatron: All Hail Corey Burton.

If Prime's Megatron was like a sort of tyrant dictator. This Megatron was a medieval warlord with his design, very imposing, calculating and very violent.

I'm so glad they kept that old school Transforming sound effect.

This Megatron's voice was what I imagine Tarn from the comics sounds like.

I really liked Megatron's vehicle mode in this series. He was essentially a flying gun. Any alternate mode where his cannon is a centerpiece of the form works well. I think that is why they usually make him a tank anymore.

XD Megatron is the first transformer who says "child" instead of "small organic". Is it because of Professor Sumdac?

The one thing I like about this show is they had homages to G1, Megatron in this series looks similar to G1 Megatron. Minus the helicopter mode instead of a gun.

One of the things I like about animated Megatron is that when he found out Starscream betrayed him, he just straight up took Starscream offline than just keeping him around.

Megatron took "Achilles heel" literally when he tried to step on Isaac. I always find that funny.

and I can see the grudge Meg had against Sumdac. Sumdac was acting pretty hubristically about tech... not only in front of other humans... but also in front of a frickin space robot! Like, come on Sumdac! You could have watched your fucking mouth, at least when talking with Megatron! Meg would have probably still seen the bullshit where Sumdac treats tech as inferior, but it's not that hard to not treat tech as inferior to you while talking to a sentient robot!

unfortunately, they didn't make season 4, and i can't understand why. i would really love to see how Megatron would escape from the prison

It's good that prof Sumtac only used Megatron's schematics and not his parts. Imagine how devistating it would be if there was a car, or a brain implant, or something with Megatron parts?

he doesn't really have a *personal* grudge against Sari. He just doesn't give a shit about her. Now Sumdac... he's acting so hubristic about tech, that I can totally see why Megatron felt such a delight at being about to crush Sumdac with his foot.

Megatron may be evil as hell, but in that show, he's pretty reasonable. Not nice, just reasonable. If Blackarachnia tried to reconnect with her Autobot colleagues, they'd just yeet her in a lab and dissect her aft. When Blackarachnia was joining the Decepticons, Meg was like: "Can you fight? Ok, you can fight. Oh, you're also a scientist? I'm letting you join. You'll be fine if you do what you're told." That moment when the bosses of the protagonists are way worse than the main villain... And if there was a situation with a computervirus going around, and everyone working on a firewall upgrade to combat that computervirus: Bumblebee: "Since when do YOU of all other robots care about getting that firewall upgrade for your Team?! Ohhhh, admit it, you'll only install it on yourself!" Megatron: "I like my Decepticons online..." , in the same tone as if you said how you want your steak fried. Megatron's uncaring af, but I can't see him doing anything as stupid as losing his fighting forces to something that can be prevented.

6:00 I also love how optimus throws his whole body at megatron. Then again at 6:35.

the whole decepticons transform and rise up bit is a reference to megatron having been a gladiator in chaon and part of the lowest class of transformers. he saw how the autobots had everything while he and his fellow gladiators could not even afford replacement parts. so he then planned a rebellion along with a gladiator by the name of soundwave. he called his group the decepticons because as he said deception is sometimes needed to do the right thing.

Where does Megazarak come into play? The Wiki states that Megatron overthrew Megazarak Eons ago. Tho, I headcanon that Megazarak was the leader of a political faction, that was trying to get the Autobots to treat the Gladiators better, Megatron joined it, and overthrew Megazarak because he found Megazarak too passive, took over and started the rebellion. Or Megazarak was the one who started the rebellion, and the Decepticon that now is Megatron didn't like Megazarak's tactical way, killed Megazarak, had his "shoot first ask later" attitude, made a bunch of reckless decisions, burnt his fingers a few times, and all of the reprecussions from his past mistakes molded him into the Decepticon he is. And now he became the very thing he destroyed: Megazarak, with a different name. What I also headcanon is that Shockwave, and the Decepticon that is now Megatron were bffs even before said Decepticon overthrew Megazarak. And that Shockwave was the one who mentored Megatron in technology stuff. Shocky always seemed like that guy who's a genious, but too socially awkward to lead anything, but not too socially awkward to teach his bff how to do engineering. And programming. And other tech stuff. Simply because Idk how else a Gladiator would learn how to do all the tech stuff Megatron does during the first Season. I can totally see the newly crowned leader of the Decepticons being reckless af, but still wanting to learn tech, but never had access to that knowledge before.

I loved the art. Allowed for WAY more emotion to be felt from the characters.

Wow, I'm surprised by how cool Animated is. The art is kind of a shock at first, but it grows on you.

In Transformers animated the regular Autobots aren't built for combat and Optimus is just starting out. He's just an average space bridge controller who somehow got involved with rhe Allspark, Decepticons and Earth.

Animated Megatron was defiantly the best orator.

Imagine how much of a threat Galvatron would have been if they continued the series. He would probably have been a lot scarier than Galvatron from the 1986 G1 movie.

This is one of my favorite, if not my most favorite, Megatron versions ever. He looks so badass, imposing and his voice sounds perfect for a villain

it's because Sari didn't have a shitty attitude towards tech in general. Professor Sumdac was treating tech as something inferior all the time, which is why Megatron was so MAD, that he wanted to crush Sumdac with his heel. He could have easily done the same to Sari, but just didn't bother because she didn't annoy the frag out of him while he was stuck as just a head.

Honestly this Megatron and tf prime Megatron are his best incarnations because they are actually smart and competent. Megatron in tf prime actually developed the cybonic plague which wiped out a lot of people during the great war.

David Keye’s megatron is great, but goddamn cory Burton’s megatron sounds so menacing, cold, and calculating. I love it.

A lot of people overlook this show. It's really a good show! Granted, not the best, but it's a good show!

They did have plans for Season 4.

Corey Burton is the best megatron. So unfortunate that the show got cancelled because of TFPrime, which is also a good show, but I personally prefer Animated.

@@snowcube_steel first of all he was already injured from his fight with Prime and starcream fired at him from BEHIND worsening his injuries. The attack tumbled him over and while even more heavily injured Starscream THEN wails on megatron and blows him up again WHILE hes heavily damaged. He then left the injured megatron in the facility with a BOMB inside of it. And despite this he STILL SURVIVES and gives Starscream an even WORSE beating all around the ship and then killing him. Without saying a word.

The fact he did this slowly and while Bumblebee is screaming in pain shows how evil Cyberverse Megatron is. The show may have a more comedic and lighthearted tone to it but Megatron isn't without his vulnerabilities. Besides, that megatron, just like this one, is actually smart enough to not keep starscream around and kills him as soon as his first act of treachery happens.
