Lmao I was just watching Cybertron very recently and instantly this guy was one of my favourite characters design wise, especially with the clockwork thing he had going on with it. Can't wait to find this new toy of this fella in person

I recently got Jhiaxus, funnily enough, in stores, specifically a Walmart. He was the only Jhiaxus there, but it was still odd seeing him like years after his release, and it makes sense that his box is literally on life support lol.

Even it is a repaint and remolded of Jhiaxus,this Vector Prime looks pretty cool!

Maybe Safeguard could come with Vector Prime in the POTP toy line if they want to add Vector Prime with the other Primes

The original one had a lot of cool features like his triple changing mini con partner and his swords can store in plane mode. Easy pass for me😂

Looks great wish we had a better skirt though - a upgrade kit will prolly come though!!!

Vector Prime is the retool because, per the design documents shown in the behind the scenes, he was designed concurrently with Jhiaxus back in 2021 (before Legacy was officially revealed even). This means he was costed with the Jhiaxus mold and designed with the ethos which lead to Legacy year 1 figures like Knockout and Bulkhead, rather than the actually accurate figures we're seeing now. That's why we're getting a low-effort redesign of the third most important Cybertron character while even Cannonball gets a more comparatively retooled and accurate figure, or Thundertron getting two 90% accurate figures of himself released.

So much better than the renders. Such a great metallic red. I really liked the Jiaxus mild and this makes great use of it. Do wish the legs had gears instead of wires though.

Honestly I’m not so sure! I’m trying to tone it down when it comes to retools & repaints! Optimus Prime looks fantastic, but Megatron not so much!

Safeguard originally came from Gigantion, so to me, this figure works as Vector Prime from before he met Safeguard. And FYI, the original Safeguard figure can also fit on this Vector Prime.

Really excited to get him and Hotshot in August. Owning the original, I personally don't mind him being retooled as the Jhiaxus mold underwhelming at first actually turned out to be pretty excellent. Really love how much paint went into the intricate detail opposed to a lot of it just being left stark white with the original. More could have maybe been done with the legs but for a budgeted retool Hasbro still did pretty good.

Loving all the Tardis and Doctor who Figure cameos throughout this review 😍😍. As a reminder Whovian this brings joy to my hearts 💕. Also as a Transformers fan I love Vector Prome I think he’s a really cool character and I love all his abilities and powers. I think this is also a clever reuse of a good mold. Although I will Say I wish they had remoulded his forearms a bit to have the gauntlet shape the had in the show since his design is very Knight inspired xx

I think i have an idea of what DnA design could do if they decided to make an upgrade kit for vector prime. Make new wing pieces that have better posability, a new sword, some gauntlets for his arms and mabe his mini con. I don’t think there’s anything they can do for his shoulder pads or give him his foot blasters. But only time will tell

Haven't seen Cybertron show, so maybe someone can give me a background story of the Cyberplanet Keys, what are they, and what they do?

My only real complaint about this being a retool is that they kept the brackets(?) for the ankle wings from Jhiaxus.

This makes much more sense than the original thought that I made in the poll.

The gold details convinced me when he got revealed, never heard of him before, don't really care, he just looks epic !

If the shoulder pads had been reversible, it could have made that block hanging off jet mode look a lot sleeker.

You might have mentioned that his "full-blown Minicon port" doesn't actually allow minicons to attach to it.

I prefer the original, wish I had it. Jet nose on this one is too squashed looking by comparison. But I do like the Galaxy Force colors enough to get that one next year.

Wow, Legacy United Cybertron universe Vector Prime is awesome 🤩! Despite having big cable that not supposed be below Vector Prime's spacecraft mode, but for me this guy is still amazing! The most part the sculpt on this guy is completely sharp, i truly love it 😁! So long time i really want the modern era like this year, 2024 create this amazing character from Transformers Cybertron universe Vector Prime because this guy is so EPIC! Super amazing video, PrimevsPrime, transform and ROLL OUT 🤗!

I’m curious if you could slightly mistransform his backpack to sort of simulate Vector Prime’s original backpack design?

If the legs had tetooled the Jhiaxus cabling, it'd be far better. That said, that this figure mostly looks the part without the massive back kibble of the original is quite a feat.

Im still really peeved about him being a retool but im def still buying him to grow the cybertron collection Also funny enough the undercarrage kibble is accurate to the show model

The figure itself is not bad for a retool, and i will still get him because i like the character in the show. But considering that they made super accurate cybertron figures of Metroplex, Override, Starscream, and Hot Shot, i find it lame that they couldn't be bothered to give Vector Prime his own mold, which he deserves. But hopefully a DNA upgrade kit will come soon to make his shoulder pads and wings bigger, as well as his forearm armor pieces and the safeguard minicon.
