Transformers G1 Micromaster Rocket base w/ Countdown + Ultimate Base - GotBot True Review NUMBER 600

In celebration of GotBot True Review number 600, we look at the Transformers G1 Micromaster Rocket Base, but that's not all. We will begin by looking at the accompanying figure - Autobot Countdown. We will then go bigger by looking at the base itself, including its various configurations and the proper placement of certain parts, especially in rolling rocket mode. Additionally, things become even more complex when we incorporate all other micromaster bases with this one as the centrepiece. Finally, we look at how this base, as well as the other G1 micromaster bases, might be able to incorporate in my vision of the "Ultimate" Autobot Base, or maybe it has now evolved into more of a city. Beyond all that, we address if the Shuttle Base, as seen in Victory, and the Rocket Base, as seen in Zone, are, in fact, intended to be the same thing. Check out all the details and decide for yourself how well this set stands up against the test of time!

This was an awesome piece of G1 History, I really lucked out finding one complete from a local seller who didn't know the value. The Multi-City looked amazing, I need to do that one day. Gotta love those Heart Stopping "Cracking" sounds.

Dude, you absolutely right. These G1 Micromaster bases fit in perfectly with the modern chug bases. The colors are spot on. The designs fit in almost seamlessly. And from what I have seen, the G1 Micromasters are on par with the Siege Micromasters. I would love to have a few of these either reissued or reimagined in the modern era.

I really want to see the Decepticon micromaster bases with TR Trypticon now. Always had a soft spot for the "bad guys" in most toylines as a kid and still do. They just looked cooler to me.

It work with the titans master really well and really look well with the current siege / earthrise for playability specially with the new skylynx which is great with the rocket base

Most of mine I just get at retail. A few from online but, honestly, most are just regular retail. I'm generally an old school toy hunter.
That is Sick!!! I'm making a city aswell but with cardboard because titans are bloomin expensive

They are but this was amassed over a lot of time. None of the Micromaster stuff is mine, to be fair. Making such a city of cardboard must be challenging. I could use that for Universal Collision,lol.

@@DennisMoultonAKAGotBot They just announce that starting with Ironworks, the Micromaster bases are getting updated toys in Siege's sequel toy line, "Earth Rise!" Their is a catch, the bases will transform into their own robot modes. :D

That base is cooler than I thought it was going to be! I'd like to see 3rdParty add-on sets for Siege Omega Supreme with additional track , Helicopter-Pad and ramps like seen with this set. ToyHax just announced a sticker set for Countdown that includeds stickers for inside the rocket hatch of Omega Supreme's rocket. But don't think it is the only set for Omega. that will probably come later.

I could see sets like that happening. The toyhax set could make the rocket arms of Omega similar to the rocket itself in base mode for sure.

Secondly, yep, this and all the g1 micromaster items I reviewed all came from Ebay. The trick is definitely patience and research. Sometimes it's easier to buy something incomplete and then find the remaining parts after.

I think the micromaster line came too late and possibly underrated. With that being said though . There are some good figures and some bad namely some of the cars .
