A quich note: if you fold down the blades of Prowl/Lio Jr like they are in beast mode while combining, the eagle "hood" sits flush on the head, sliding the tabs in the lion's mane in the specialized slits in the eagle body.

I used to have Magnaboss as a 10-12 year old. Oh the memories. Still one of the better combiners!

Frankly, slaters (woodlice or pillbugs to many of you) rolling into balls is _already_ a transformation. A robot mode is just a bonus. :)

You are a brave individual to make that Combiner! That GPS only gets worse by the years!

You ain't kidding. I reinforced the hinges holding the bird head assembly on my Prowl with extra plastic and they still crumbled when I put it in Magnaboss mode. The wing hinges are scary tight, so I'm going to loosen those a little before I go any further =)

I'd love to see an updated version of Magnaboss and Tripredicus. It would be quite interesting if they were more streamlined and poseable.

I wish that Magnaboss gets a new toys. Or at least a re-release under the Encore line.

I remember have the eagle and the elephant from this series and when you snapped off the leg of the eagle, that brought back childhood memories of nostalgia and frustration

Quite the blast to the past as I still actually have this toy. Ironhide, and Prowl are still doing fine, however Silverbolt has seen better days as the hinge connecting the back to the body cracked, and broke as did one the feet/talons. Gold plastic man. Though this seems like a straight rerelease with additional paint I'd at least hope the plastic was improved as it still looks like the same gold used on the original. Would be cool to see Legacy do a reimagining/update of this guy.

So this is a Takara release of the figure that matches with Beast Wars 2. Ironhide and Silverbolt have added details from the Beast Wars 2 show; however instead of Prowl you get Lio Junior, the son of Lio Prime.

I hope there is a 3rd party making masterpiece magnaboss

I love my Magnaboss. Unfortunately my Silverbolt suffered GPS and fractured apart. Still holds together to form the combiner though. I'd love to get the Japanese versions some day.

I was part of the 1984 Transformers 80's kids Generation so I missed out on the Beast Wars in the later years.I discovered Magnaboss in Transformers Earth Wars. He is a Fun Combiner to use in the game.

Always annoyed me how the eagle seemed so unnecessary for the combiner. It wouldn´t even take much retooling to make Magnaboss out of only elephant and lion. If it had the wings out, at least it´d be a flying combiner, Predaking style, but like this, the eagle is just a weapons pack and a backpack hat...

My only complaint about this combo is that Magnaboss' design makes him look upwards all the time, so unless you pose him in a very specific angle, he looks a bit awkward. Still, a very cool combo, and thank you for another great video, Mangmotion!😊

Since kingdom skywarp (eagle) Is a repaint retooled of kingdom BW airrazor .. If we get a legacy rendition of leo jr he'll probably be a repaint parchel retool of legacy leo prime/ convoy. As for the elephant dude if we also get a legacy rendition... Some repaint herr and there but mainly a heavily retool of kingdom BW rhinox.

Now I had the Hasbro version and I got to say the Japanese version has a better color scheme mostly just the heads rest of the figure is exactly the same right down to Silver Bolt's legs constantly falling off I will say on my Lion copy the paws are so loose they won't stay pinned back for transformation and that can be a little discouraging at times. Awesome video for sure.

Beast Wars II Magnaboss I'd assume from the red face Magnaboss II he was dubbed in the Dreamwave BW Sourcebook

I still have my Magnaboss, too scared to touch him wwith all the GPS going around with prowl >.

The problem with the old beast wars toys is that the blastic was so soft that with the time it will break.

My 25 year old Beast Wars collection is still in one piece. Only Gold plastic breaks quickly over time.

Yeah they only really break over time if they were made with gold plastic (known as Gold Plastic Syndrome). Most other Beast Wars figures hold up better.

The video was great. The magnaboss toys not so much.

I have a retrax 🐛 in my collection 😎but it has the antennae upside down😲

I never realized how Prowl's head looks so much like Optimus'.

Mainly in shaping. This version of the figure isn’t Prowl. This is instead Lio Junior, son of Lio Prime. To make this distinction they had his head as blue instead of Prowl’s all yellow head.

Looks like an aggressive totem pole

With how he's handling it that bronze plastic has already shattered

I mean he clearly got it new in package. The figure doesn’t truly age and wear away when it’s mint.

Probably the ugliest transformer ever made. Each part is ugly, and the sum is geometrically uglier than the pieces that combine in a John Carpenter's Thing-esqe way. The look in Magnaboss' eyes screams in a quiet desperation for Andy to look away so he can move his right arm to commit Sepukku.
