It’s because some of the missions were a pain in the ass, especially the defending missions where you had to defend someone while they were downloading data

Dude, my brother had the 3ds as a kid and this was our fave game. One day he tossed the chip in the air and thought it caught it but it had actually gone in a crack between my sisters bed so we asked her can we check if its there she said no leave I'll check later. We never saw that game again even fast forward years later when we moved out we hoped it went under some other furniture but again we never found it we were so sad. 😂😂😂😂

This is the first D.S game where it had taken me weeks or even months to beat some missions due to its difficulty. The Starscream boss battle in the Arctic, the landing of Optimus, the tank boss battle, and the ending fight with Megatron were so so difficult! Glad that this game will always be a core memory of my childhood.

It’s the timed missions that got me, and the missions that always make you lose if you go out of bounds for the missions ( which in this game is 2cm away from the objective) The autobot missions are still better than the decepticon missions in my opinion tho.

I agree! For me the tank battle was the hardest thing I did as a kid. I didn’t know you had to grab the other tanks and smash him with them for the longest time. I must’ve spent maybe weeks trying to do it

I saw that glitch and I remember of one Tranquility glitch where you can hide in between buildings in a certain spot using a helicopter form.

gosh I remember playing this on my Nintendo DSi... Good times. I spend dozens of hours in this game.

There’s a helicopter on top of one the buildings in the tutorial area that you can scan.

59:52 I know this aspect was retconned later on, but I really like the idea of Optimus and Megatron being LEGITIMATE brothers. And it adds a sad notion to Megatron's fall to evil. It wasn't just the AllSpark or the Fallen's influence. But the big one? Parental favoritism. A very real issue, so it's weird to see it used here.

this brawl boss battle gave me PTSD; like when he transformed into his tank I didn’t know we had to hit him w objects

I've played this game before many years ago. And I was smart enough to scan other vehicles every time I had the chance, even during the first mission. That in turn allowed me to obtain more forms and prepare for tougher missions that lied ahead. A couple of the first vehciles I scanned after the Beater were the Sportser and Utility. And then I scanned the Off Roader, SUV and Flame Truck the moment I arrived in Tranquility

1:51:31 Genuinely pretty scary mission. I kept thinking that blackout would pop up behind the corner or land right in front of me

Long story short, smite did a transformers crossover, and it was part of my childhood, now I’m just looking back at it with the 80s show and movie and the live action films and games. This game was a big part of my childhood. Crazy to see so many people played the game. I thought I was the only one

I blame the voice acting in this game for convincing me that Starscream was a female transformer. That having been said, he was a truly terrifying enemy to face at the broadcast tower.

The Sector 7 People The Militaries and Tranquillity Police are funny as shit and gdamn they all made me dying laughing hella hard all of unnecessary words from destroying their piece of junk cars, helicopter and tanks 😅😂

I played the game so much that I probably found all the glitches and made it happen just for fun. Managed to stuck in a house near the junkyard so I can get the wanted level to max without a drop of blood. Good times what a game. Multi-player soccer mode was also insane.

I bloody loved this & the decepticons version. The sequels never matched this!

Honestly, I think than Autobots Version is more logical & sensed than the Decepticons One because all autobots are helping each other & they're all "alive" at the end of the game ; comparatively at the "other version" where there remains 1 Survivor "Megatron".

This game was my favorite when I was a kid , this definitely unlocked some memories

I am probably the only one who played this on an emulator, yet I still feel the nostalgia. I also like that the UI changes depending on which Autobot you use.

Nah I played it on emulator too recently, and honestly it just makes me wish that these games were on an AppStore. As a kid I had the ROTF one on DS.

in the first area(the tutorial) you can unlock ur first flying transformer, once you grinded some levels to unlock the climb ability, you can climb to a certain building to find a helicopter that can be scanned. Unlocking it really makes other mission so much easy.

Ironhide in movies: grumpy and hates rust Ironhide in DS: you just Yeed your last haw 😈

Couldn't get past 2:00 as a 6 year old but I have a very fond memory of this game

Only in the DS versions, which makes the most sense.

I remember playing and finding a glitch that got me to play as the meteor/auto bot before scanning the cars. It was so cool knowing I discovered it myself.

I know this is a year late, but as Barricade says after the battle, he said he was just a simple diversion. If they were to send in someone like Brawl or Blackout, that would heavily hinder their progress in freeing Megatron. Plus, Barricade is nowhere near the amount of firepower the others have (I mean, Brawl is a literal tank.) So in this sense, Barricade was a good choice, but at the cost of his life, but ol Megs here don't give a damn about sacrifices.
