Whole movie was just one big metal blur. So i never watched sequels.

Actually, sums up at least 70% of ALL the live action films. There’s a reason I just stick with the 1986 film if I want to watch 90 minutes of Transformers. That film is 1.5 hours, but only feels like 45-60 minutes. The live action films… feel TWICE as long as they actually are.

Anthony Puglisi Producers have a LOT of power. They are the money-men, and what they say goes. Tobe Hooper "directed" Poltergeist, but Spielberg pretty much told him every single thing to do. Also, the director Bay picked directed Battle: Los Angeles and Wrath of the Titans. The "he's only a producer" argument is a shit one for anyone to use because they don't know the basic business side of film.

Don't get me wrong, I liked Fury Road but the movie was so action packed to the point where you're like "Wait WTF's going on?". It focused more on action than anything else. Great action without a doubt, but if you're looking for a movie with a good story, FR isn't that movie. That's just my opinion though.

Adam Ortiz Regardless of Fury Road's plot- or lack thereof, in this case- that wouldn't necessarily affect George Miller's potential involvement in a Transformers reboot, which certainly DOES deserve a more involved plot and interesting characters, just as its rich source material provides oodles of. Say what you will about Happy Feet being a kids' movie, but critically speaking, it was indeed a very creative and thought-provoking plot, so Miller is more than capable of delivering that to the big screen.

My rate Transformers: 7/10 ROTF: 4/10 DOTM: 6/10 (i liked, sorry) AOE: 3/10

Insanity Man Props to you mate. The only reason I hated it (shoulda' said "IMO") is because the characters were so weak and the story was just meandering - inconsequential. I loved the restrained and cinematic effects though, so in that sense, I suppose we agree.

Johnny Aguirre TV What frustrates me about people flocking to these types of films is that Hollywood listens to money. When these shitty movies that require you to turn off your brain to enjoy make a lot of money then hollywood churns out more of the same and instead of more interesting, different, smart movies we get these godawful blockbusters that feature a hot chick and explosions with no depth because they make more money and as I said the cycle of shit continues...

Michael Bay didn't disappoint anyone cause everyone with a brain was expecting this movie to suck...

To all those people bitching about JJ's opinion on this movie, watch the War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron trailers and then watch Age of Extinction Those trailers can show you more about the Transformers and their story than any of these movies can(except maybe the first one)

It was kinda disappointing.

What I continuously fail to understand is why the (*bleep*) Bay consistently ignores the formulae that made Transformers so endearing and iconic for the last 30 something years, e.g. the original Transformers and keeping the focus on said Transformers. It's like he keeps trying to convince himself that people will care more for the Human characters than the Autobots and Decepticons and, well, no! The humans have always been a supporting element when they've been an element at all. I've said it before but, even though it's unlikely, I hope this movie tanks. I really, really, really do. I want Bay and, more importantly, the studio to see that you can't keep shitting on a beloved intellectual property by letting some egotistical pretentious and tasteless explosion boner having director jizz his wet dreams all over it just because mindless drones threw money at the first few films. Yeah you might make some cash but, in the end, you'll kill interest in said IP where films are concerned. It sets a horrible trend for other classic properties yet to come to screen or be done well. Growing up in the 80s I've watched them destroy almost every classic series. It's just...disappointing.

People actually thought this was a good movie? Wow. Absolute shit. I remember leaving the movie theater in anger and disgust! ZERO acting, RIDICULOUS NONSENSICAL plot, and even the special effects got boring after awhile. How many times can you see robots flying around in circles fighting each other? And it was 3 HOURS long!!!!! I'm honestly floored, baffled, shocked as to why people actually like this trash. I really did like the FIRST TF's movie. But the rest are pure rubbish.

Bionic Potato I watched it and tbh I for some reason cried at the end because of "the touch" even though I didn't really like the movie or watch any of the episodes after I had nostalgia and I've only watched 12 original episodes I'm a 2001 kid you are blinded by nostalgia if what happened in that movie happened in 2012 you would have been pissed

You know i really liked this movie, and that surprises me. After seeing this movie i went in to watch this expecting to get bored and probably end up walking out. But i actually enjoyed this installment. I thought Mark Walhberg and that KSI head guy did really good jobs and the action scenes were some of the best from the series. Could it have been shorter? Yes, Were some of the plot lines unnecessary? Yes, but overall i came out positive. Really prefer the Shia Labeouf-Megan fox duo from the first 2. Hopefully they make a comeback.

You're probably just a mid to late teenage kid who sees a hot chick and explosions and is satisfied. It's plot, characters, and anything that makes a movie good weren't in this. It was shit.

Listen up people because I am only going to explain this once. There is a difference between Liking a movie, and a movie being good. You can like Trans4mers, but you cannot say it was a good movie. The average people views a movie subjectively but your personal perception of a movie does not matter because there is objective rules of filmmaking. Michael Bay tends to ignore the because Traditional film making doesnt make big bucks, because of the advent of blockbusters. When people like Jeremy get upset about movies like this, its because you can EASILY have a fun entertaining movie that ACTUALLY has good writing, a great story, purposeful action, and emotional characters. Movies do not need to be 1 dimensional. This is why i REFUSE to pay for garbage like this, because I know its possible to have a movie that has good film structure, and is fun for to watch. A good example of a fun movie that had a solid story would be Captain America 2, Or Godzilla

Your subjective opinion is fine, However when people ask about the overarching quality of a film subjectivity is mute. There is objective rules that comes to filmmaking. When you dont follow the rules, or execute them poorly then your film suffers. Sure people will be subjective, but the rules by which critics judge do not change.

When you look at films OBJECTIVELY there is a set of rules to follow that determine if it is OBJECTIVELY Good. No one cares about what your opinion is. Because everyone is different. When someone asks is the movie good, they expect to be given an objective answer. Granted there are some exceptions. You and your close friends may understand each other and agree when speaking subjectively but when you talk to someone who does not know your likes or dislikes, you MUST speak objectively. That is a standard that everyone is familiar with.

I saw this film, keep in mind I like 1 and 3 and I didn't like this one. It was messy, not funny, ruined Galvatron and ruined the Dinobots.

You know how they always play a Linkin Park song at the end of a Transformers movie(except for this one), they should have played Burn it Down to symbolise what Michael Bay has done to Transformers.

Reading the comments I see there is *no* *hope* for the next generation. Standards have simply fallen as low as they can and the younger generation is simply happy to lap up pee from the truck stop bathroom. And time for my reply. 1: The soundtrack is only half decent 2: They may have an idea about how to TRY and make a movie but have no idea how to actually make a decent one (this movie is evidence of that) 3: The humor here is reserved for morons who wouldn't know good comedy if it slapped them in the face (btw when the hell did parents come into a person's comedic tastes?) 4: The action scenes were better in the first Transformers movie and I have seen tons of other movies that have actual REALISTIC action in it that was better than this. 5: That doesn't even make sense. What your basically saying is that you watch movies to brainlessly look at a screen and just be amused by the most uninspired, unoriginal, non-entertaining crap out there. 1) Pretty good moral of standing for your family. For a stupid movie like TF- that's just fenomenal, in my opinion, previous didn't even have moral. 2)More likable characters, than previous movies. Even though they're performingwasn't the best, but it was realistic, because in situations like ther, when giant robots kick asses- you won't gonna try to act like Di'Caprio, or some shit. 3)Better visual style and effects. 4)Autobots are not just "FOR TEH JUSTIZZZZ" they are now more like "Ehh, humans are dicks, screw them. But Kade and his family help us, so they are worth to hang out with." 5)Much more Transformerish story is shown-Giant ships, Creators, another races, Dinobots. Not alot time in a movie, but still thanks for more info about transformers universe overall.

Even though they're performingwasn't the best, but it was realistic, because in situations like ther, when giant robots kick asses- you won't gonna try to act like Di'Caprio, or some shit. 3)Better visual style and effects. 4)Autobots are not just "FOR TEH JUSTIZZZZ" they are now more like "Ehh, humans are dicks, screw them. But Kade and his family help us, so they are worth to hang out with." 5)Much more Transformerish story is shown-Giant ships, Creators, another races, Dinobots. Not alot time in a movie, but still thanks for more info about transformers universe overall.

ambrose eng well they are aliens from a different planet. The Japanese autobot was clearly a samurai and had a thick Japanese accent. I would understand it if transformers adopted traits from the vehicles that they scan into to, BUT IT WAS A DAMN HELICOPTER

Rainbow Dash cameo was the only good thing in this movie. A cameo for 1 second. It was a complete rehash of the previous movies, the FBI were some of the most incompetent out there (they got owned by a fucking mechanic), serious plot holes involving Sam (I don't like him but honestly at least tell us what happened to him), they screwed with Optimus Prime, Grimlock only appeared for 5 minutes and the new human characters were obnoxious (with the exception of Mark Warlberg). 3/10 (Attack on Hype is better than this).

WOW, people are actually defending this cash grab called a movie. Michael Bay never cared for the Transformers franchise people. When he first got the job, he said "I don't want to make a silly, children's toy movie". The movie is full of blatant product placement from Victoria's secret to Oreo-bots to Asian ads. The lower budget and bad CGI makes you wonder if the makers thought "How much shit can we get away with?". Well, they got away with a lot of shit, thanks to you blind fans.

Here's what I want them to do. Have a transformers movie with NO HUMANS WHATSOEVER! Have it take place on Cybertron, you know, where they COME FROM. I know it'd be a better movie because there would be no useless, expendable, and annoying human characters. Just the robots we come to see. Nobody watches these movies for the humans. And this idea that we need human characters to relate to is illogical. Take Lion King for example: NO HUMANS WHATSOEVER. Guess what? It's one of the most loved and remembered films EVER! Why? Because nothing was wasted or thrown in. It all mattered. Don't have characters just to have them. We don't need a character to be human to care about them. The toys in Toy Story 3 were TOYS and yet I felt the fear and sadness as the came close to be incinerated. Why? Proper development and usage of character. They should try it. I know it'd be better.

It really just boils down to that Michael Bay is simply using his name to sell movies. The quality of his movies have declined sharply over the years and quite frankly at this point they just simply suck. This guys humor is not funny, he's trying too hard to impress instead of just making a good movie. Everybody I know who saw the movie said it was trash.

Without Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, Jeremy would of never been born.

Dude, I don't know what fucking movie you watched, but it seems like we watched two completely different movies. The Cybertronians had more fucking screen time than the humans. And they all each had their own individual, DISTINCTIVE personalities. And the movie had a plot, convoluted as it may be, it had a plot and took from DOTM and set up a sequel damn near perfectly. I don't understand what the fuck more people want from a Transformers movie. I mean, this is the shit fans begged for from the start; badass robots with actual personalities, less humans, and them blowing the fuck out of shit. Hell, Optimus Prime even had character development in this movie. The dude who's supposed to be stern and never wavering, had to deal with his own personal wishes to abandon human kind, and keep himself from just slaughtering as many as he could. Seriously, what the fuck more do people want?

Well I'm still gonna see it. I got different opinions. I love the 1st movie, 3rd movie, while not as good, still enjoyable. Yeah, 2nd, sucked, but I rather watched RotF than 'Prometheus.' Sorry if you're a fan of the movie. because of how I feel of the franchise, I don't harp on the movies like so many because of its concept. This is the same reviewer that thinks the Dark Knight was awesome. i couldn't stand that movie. So it'll either be hit or miss. I'm not gonna let some reviewer dictate me wanting to see it. if it's better than the third, then it's a winner in my book

Jose Rangel if you feel good about it, great. if I find it boring, I won't judge ya for it. I got a strict honor code. But from what I've read. I'm hopeful. Honestly, the movie I'd been worried MOST had been X;men days of future past. And I mean that. That's the problem with people who see it, they think it's gonna be oscar-winning stuff. Guys it's something made to sell toys, a lot of the toys ain't that good. But I don't hate the franchise, I just think its concept since '84 shoulda been better planned out. I don't care if anyone rags on me or thumbs my comment down, that's how I feel. No one is a TRUE fan of anything. We all got preferences. That's what makes us human, right?

I won't lie, I went in expecting to hate it. It....wasn't an abomination. I'm kind of surprised Jeremy, I normally agree with your reviews but this one? I was genuinely surprised. Dogshit? really? You couldn't possibly have fun with it if you were drunk? Or forget about it in 10 minutes? It was complete utter dogshit? It's your opinion man but I think you're being a little harsh, this was easily one of the more decent transformers movies. Granted that's not saying much, but this review made me going in thinking it was going to be A LOT worse. I'd say it is worth the ten bucks to turn your brain off.

Damn, I was expecting a "Good time if you're drunk" or at least a "T-minus 2 hours". How the hell could they screw up a transformer riding on a dinosaur? Michael Bay used a special 3d IMAX camera that is the world's first. so in order to get the full experience you have to watch it in IMAX 3d because that is how he intended it to look. because you hate 3d I'm guessing you went to the normal regular 2d showing which is why I guess you hate it you should redo the review and watch the movie in 3d IMAX then review it because you don't go to the Transformers movie for the story or any Michael Bay film for that matter, you go there for that action adventure and Michael Bay always delivers on the action and the 3d was awesome !

If your friend comes to town from another country you would probably would want to take him to a great burger joint or maybe a good barbecue place . And did you tell him to order a bacon cheeseburger with fries but he goes ahead and ask for a boiled potato instead of fries and also ask for no mayo or any condiments inside the burger, and instead of a nice cold Coke he orders a glass of milk and then tells you how can you Americans eat this crap? Your logic respond is well thats not how it was intended to be eaten . Or ordering coleslaw without dressing just olive oil and pineapple, and then says he doesn't like American salads . See what I'm getting at? Case closed!

Even if it was intended for that, it doesn't excuse it for being a below average film. And I don't want to go see a film just to look at the "pretty" visuals. If I wanted to do that I would play the video game... You go to a movie to see a good movie. It's like saying you want to go to a basketball game just so you could eat the food there.
