AWESOME!!! I have learned so much from your instructional videos over the past 6 months as a 35 yr old college student. They have helped me in maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Thank you so much! After watching some of your videos on topics I'm currently studying in precalc, I have come to a much fuller understanding of the concepts. I just made up a quadratic function, graphed it, and then produced a transformation for it and graphed it successfully. I've been watching your, and others', videos and studying, and practicing for the past six hours in preparation for my precalc exam tomorrow morning. I now feel more confident about it and am rather excited. Thanks again! You're awesome Mr. Tarrou!

YOU'RE WELCOME Brian, congrats on taking the plunge back into college...and thanks for studying so hard and making the effort to keep up that awesome GPA, I promise it will all pay off in the end:) I want to know if you felt the urge to shout BAM!!! after you completed that quadratic function?! lol Let us know how you did on that exam and please keep sharing this channel with your class and teachers too:D

After doing horribly in high school, the learning curve since I started college this past spring has been steep. I've had to take in A LOT of information. Surprisingly I have done well thus far. I had to start with College Algebra before I could take the required Trig class and I knew nothing about Algebra. I didn't even know PEMDAS. Like I said I did horribly from 6th grade on, because I didn't apply myself. Biggest regret of my life. Anyways, after I completed my quadratic function I shouted BAM!.... internally. It was a bit late so I couldn't wake my wife and kids. Lol! Unfortunately though, I got an 83 on my exam. I hold myself to high standards so it was rather disappointing. I need to excel if I am going to be an exceptional engineer. One thing I am good at though is persistence. I refuse to give up or settle for less than the best. Thanks again for your want to help people. The time that you, and the others that make these videos, put in to create these videos speaks volumes about your, and their, character. You are great people that care and take pride in teaching anyone who wishes to truly understand what they are learning.

Brian Coll, if you are going to be engineer, check out MajorPrep's channel. Also check out open source softwares that you can freely download from their official websites. They are *FREE* and it won't break your bank. You can use them for your studies. Lots of engineers use open source softwares in their homes after working hours. Some use it at work, if they so choose. If you want free alternative to AutoCad, consider FreeCAD. Another software is Onshape. You can get for free in student version and it is the nearest rival to SolidWorks. It is easy-to-learn. Both Onshape and SolidWorks have very similiar interfaces, as Onshape is developed by the very same programmers who had created SolidWorks. Onshape has forums where you can't resist viewing others' 3D works of engineering. One more software to check out is Blender and you can get that software at Blender.org and it is FREE. It does incredible 3D realism, physical simulations, animation, etc. In Blender, you can digitally test simulations of gravity, wind, liquid, etc against objects. It does more stuff than AutoCAD. Warning: Blender has a very steep learning curve, but you will love it, especially if you are artistic. For Blender tutorials, check out those by Neal Hirsig. Though his tutorials in backdated Blender may be few years old, they are still very useful. Neal Hirsig can pull you up very fast on Blender. Blender is a must-have for your portfolio as you can bring blueprints into 3D realism and turn them into animation, if you like. Companies will love that. Another free CAD software is DesignSpark Mechanical. DesignSpark website offer three free softwares that you can freely download. They do one for mechanical, another for electrical and last one for PCB. DesignSpark sells electrical components for PCBs. If you are into mechanics, you might want to see OpenFoam, a free software for CFD simulations. It digitally test wind, heat, gravity etc against objects. It shows movements of winds against vehicles. I haven't used that software. I am still learning Blender and I am 3/4 way there. Nowadays, you can get lots of free open source softwares not only for mechanical engineering, also for programming, electronics, animation, music, and all that jazz. For electronics, check out Fritzing, KiCad, Falstad Circuit, etc. I have app EveryCircuit (under $20). It does awesome circuit simulations and I have quickly learned electronics that way. When you download free open source softwares, visit Facebook groups for those, as you find lots of enthusiasts and professionals there. I go there a lot for brain-picking. If you are interested in free open source softwares like those for programming, check out my Google+ collections. Everyday, I go exploring softwares, free and affordables. I save their links. What you see in my collections, I use only 5% -10% of those softwares, as I am short on time. I am collecting them not only for myself, also for my nieces and nephews, and for few others of likewise interests.

A Supplemental Instruction class is a student teacher. A student who already passed the class with a high grade qualify for this. We also have a Supplemental Instructor who helps us for our Chemistry class. In short words it's a tutor. And your video was awesome thnx a million... You seem like a very fun teacher to have. Lucky students.
