So your base paint is house paint correct? I watch this before but I forgot and I have several sizes of those tiles and they do look just as pretty hanging them on a wall. Love your color choice and I just can't seem to get the blow down.

Hi, I use all of my 4 x 16 tiles as well hangings. Finishing is pretty simple. Once my paint is cured I resin the top, scrape the sides so that it is back to bare tile (don't like bumpy uneven edges) after my sides are clean I either paint the edges or copper foil them. On the back I glue a d ring picture hanger with the little ring sitting above the tile, cover the back with felt and that's it. I have a video on finishing ... Cindy

Hello Cindy, I am watching your videos for a while already. Unfortunatelly my Englisch isn't that perfect, so I don't understand everything that you say. So my question is, is there really no medium mixed in the colours at all? Even not in the base colour white on the canvas, or what about the white one which is the base for all your other colours? You would help me a lot with your reply, because I really would like to do the same on a big canvas. Thanks in advance and nice greetings from Austria Helga 🙂

Hallo Helga, sie nimmt “aquarylic” Farben, die sind sehr dünn und deshalb verdünnt sie sie nicht. Ich hab aquarylic bestellt und werde sie bald ausprobieren, bei uns sind sie nicht so billig. Falls du Mischverhältnisse suchst, ich hab einen KZread Kanal in deutsch und englisch

Hi Helga, many thanks for joining me all the way from Austria.. For this particular piece there was absolutely no pouring Medium in any colors with the exception of the 24k gold. My base paint is interior latex wall paint in a velvet finish. The purpose for this video was to help others realize that it's not always necessary to have pouring medium or super costly paints. Paint pouring can be super costly but there are ways around that. We have a Dollartree store just down the street and they sell these paints for $1.50 a bottle. I have been using them straight as well as with pouring medium for quite some time now without any issues. I use interior latex wall paint as my base for both the tile and my puddle that I float my colors on. You can use any acrylic for base as well but you will have to mix it with pouring medium and maybe a bit if water to find the correct consistency. It's an overwhelming process...I get It! @@meggeesartlab Hallo Meg, wärst du bitte so nett und hilfst mir weiter. Weißt du zufällig was ein wood conditioner ist. Ist das das Mittel, womit man z. B.: den Boden oder die Holzmöbel pflegt? Und wenn sie von einem PVC Kleber reden, ist das dann ein Holzkleber? Bzw. wo kaufst du deine Materialien? Ich fahre demnächst nach Wien und hoffe da bei der Firma Gerstäcker alles zu finden, das ich dafür brauche. Danke im Voraus für deine Antwort und liebe Grüße Helga 😉
