Despites there are other methods. I learned something like the saving in plain text. I thought I could just import the way it is after placing the commas. Can I replace the comma with semicolon or dash just to avoid the Donald issue. Between each address, did you put paragraph to separate the records, or you put the comma too, if so, how excel knows it's new record.

I have an unusual situation. I have a huge mailing list saved on my Mac (about 3000 names) that appears to have been typed individually into Avery 5160 label format in Microsoft Word 97-2004 document (.doc) Is there a way to export this data into an excel spreadsheet in a logical format? I've tried several ways and the only thing I can do is paste it directly into excel, which doesn't separate any of the fields. Unfortunately I'm having someone manually cut and paste or re-type everything, but looking for an easier, more efficient (and with less mistakes) way to do this. I appreciate any suggestions! Thanks.

Wish I would have seen this sooner. My suggestion would be to copy and past everything into a plain text document (like Notepad, although MS Word has an option to past in plain text). After that, you'd just follow the instructions in this video. Notepad removes all formatting (such as the Avery stuff)

for the first step why not just do a find/replace to replace the single line breaks/paragraphs breaks with commas?
