I only found your channel today and watched all of the vids of the Transcendence build. Quite good timing for me as it took over 2 years to get to ep.43. Love what you have done! I've never seen such a detailed and elaborate rebuild, so intricate too. If I could get a bus and do a fraction of what you have done I would be so happy! I am not mechanically minded and not too practical either but I'd love to transform a bus! Maybe one day. WOW! You're very talented and very patient and I hope you have many enjoyable years in that gorgeous bus!

I've watched all of your bus build videos in complete amazement. I knew you had to have body shop experience and definitely plenty of mechanical experience and all along I have wondered what your every day living is. Here we are ( 43 ) videos in and finallllllyyyyy you tell us you build HOT RODS!!! I somehow knew it all along... I'm a handicapped vet with all kinds of dreams in my head that I want to do. I no longer can, but watching your videos and some others, makes me feel alive.... Please keep the videos coming and don't worry about adding music. Hearing what you have to say is much more important to me. Oh and please show us how the hatchFRONT window looks all done... Thank you for sharing your adventure with all of us.

Amazing job, it keeps getting better! Thanks for sharing the birthing of transcendence with us, please keep us up to date on your adventures. Been thinking, has anyone ever insulated under solar panels before mounting them? Surely doing that and still maintaining an air flow gap would reduce heat transferral to the metal roof of the bus. Peace ✌️

Transcend Existence just thinking a bus in extremely cold conditions will loose heat from air flow under the bus. When it’s hot this air flow gap is extremely important. A possible solution could be a heavyweight canvas skirt, that can be rolled to store in hot weather or when on the move. I’d use padded magnets to attach. ✌️

I stumbled upon your channel while researching solar install for our fifth wheel. Very talented is about all I can say. You've created a master piece. The back hatch of a car to make the front window was some real imagination. Looks great on the bus. Can't say enough about the shower design. Wife and I both thought she did a super job. While watching all the build videos, you mentioned coming up with a way to auto tilt the panels so you didn't have to climb up on the roof each time. Did you come up with something to raise them? I'm 65, with a bad back and climbing up the ladder isn't my vision of saving energy. Can't seem to find anyone selling such a thing.

Thank you so much for the kind words and for following along on my channel. I haven't built a way to tilt them yet, maybe early next summer I'll get to working on it. Basically I'm thinking of using linear actuators to achieve it. Some come with a key fob type switch, so with a push of a button, it can be tilted easily.

  • @koslund11

I had looked at the linear actuators, but my mind is all electrical. Engineering was the guy down the hall. Look forward to seeing how you get them to work on your panels. Safe travels. Take care.

Question for you back on riveting. I've got a regular air chisel which I'm told isn't going to do squat. It won't cut bolts worth squat that's for sure. 3x is being recommended to me but then I just saw a video of some random dude using a 3x gun for 3/16th by 3/8ths AL. I'm using the same rivet but steel. Will 3x do it or do I need a 4x?

  • @TranscendExistence1111

A 3X should do just fine with 3/16 steel rivets. I used to use one quite frequently in aircraft sheetmetal work and heavy structure repair.
