‘Trans Man’ to Woman of God | Guest: Daisy Strongin (Part Two) | Ep 928

Today, we're joined by Daisy Strongin, wife, mother and de-transitioner, for part two of her story. We pick up with the complex feelings that accompanied her parents' validation of her "new gender" and some of the red flags she felt ultimately led her to de-transition. She shares how she felt after her double mastectomy and why she ended up regretting it. We discuss some of the conservative podcasts she listened to at the time, including this one, that helped change her mind on transgenderism and abortion, and Daisy shares her spiritual journey toward fully de-transitioning and accepting Christ.

Oh my goodness, it’s THAT Daisy! Love her. I subscribed to her early on in her detransition while I was recovering from my own gender dysphoria. Her approach to having earnest openness to read the Bible and come to know God was so unique and special.

I heard Daisy's story about detransitioning maybe a year ago and had no idea she was pursuing Christianity. I'm not a Christian yet but considering it, and Daisy's testimony inspires me especially because she was an athiest and studied philosophy and read the Bible on her own. I hope I can follow the same path. Thanks for having her on your show!

I almost didn't watch this. Frankly, I'm burnt out on detransitioning discussions. But I'm so glad I tuned in. I happened upon Daisy's KZread channel during the pandemic and found her to be so forth coming. My heart is so happy to see she has come full circle. She's married and blessed with children, God is good! Stay the course, Daisy. Remember God does not promise a perfect life in this life. Trials and tribulations follow all Christians throughout this life. That's why He sent His son to die for all our transgressions, we only need ask for forgiveness and believe in His son, Jesus Christ. We're not strong enough on our own but God is!

This happened to me too. I stopped before the testosterone ruined my voice and I didn't want the surguries, but it wrecked my uterus. I am also now practicing Catholicism. Jordan Peterson was a big part of reshaping my brain too. I am so thankful to be free and love God and my womanhood.

So much hope and redemption in her story. I was just blown away at God's incredible grace. I love hearing these stories. Not just for those who used to be trans, but hearing stories like Kat Von D, and many others who many today would just write off. I have been more intentional on praying for people that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt don't know Jesus so that they do find Him. That includes the people I don't like politically or whomever. When I think about how Jesus literally died for every single sinner, that includes me, you, and all of these people in this world. Every single person. He died for Daisy...He died for Kat....He died for Trump....He died for Biden. He died for all people, and it is our job to share that message with as many people as possible. But part of that is intentionally praying for people. I am spurred on when I hear these stories. They are sooo encouraging.

This is heartbreaking because if we in America would have a much better mental care system instead of just letting people hurt themselves in anyway, we could get to the real ROOT of what is going on inside people abd truly help them instead of people hurting themselves, mutilating themselves and then even desiring to DE transition and feeling so completely lost and alone and confused. Our government doesn't want people to truly be helped. They want people to be all kinds of broken, hurting, confused and tormented. That is not CARE at all. 😢 Thank you Daisy for sharing your journey. God bless you!!

I agree with you that the mental care system is broken, but I will say that I don’t believe that is the root of the problem. It is only a symptom of the disease infecting our society. The true sickness is sin and rejecting God and His Word.

The ROOT is a spiritual one. Modern medicine doesn’t do that kind of work. The Holy Spirit does.

I find it so scary that one can completely choose to change their gender before they can choose to drink alcohol. God bless Daisy for being brave and sharing her story. My daughter is in HS and currently walking through this struggle and I just pray like crazy for her. Thankfully she’s said she doesn’t want surgeries or hormones, so I’m hoping this is just because trans is now the trendy thing. However not being in my daughter’s head, I have no idea of her secret thoughts or feelings. Prayers for all parent going through this.

This is definitely a subject that I’ve had strong feelings about all my life. I could never quite understand how anyone would want to change their gender. Being a Christian and wanting to love others without passing judgement on another can be and is so very conflicting. I have friends who are trans, and wanting the best for them in life. Now to see people who are trans as Christ sees them. We don’t know what their most inner thoughts are, and what their battles they live with. So whom am I to judge anyone, I’m not. To show love that is unconditionally can be hard and conflicting at times, but it’s the correct thing to do. Daisy’s story is truly amazing, she’s the first person I’ve ever heard about de-transitioning. I’ll I know is God is such an awesome God who really loves the real person, wherever the person is at. Daisy just proves this, I can see she’s gone through so much soul searching on her journey to find God. And I’m so happy for her. Many blessings to Daisy and her journey. I’m so thankful I found your channel, blessings.

What an amazing story. Praise the Lord Daisy found the light. What a lovely woman she is! What’s crazy to me is the fact that Jordan Peterson really opened my eyes to the whole trans debate as well. He made me realize how dangerous of an ideology it is. After going down that rabbit hole I came across a lecture of his that involved religion and he made my husband and I realize we wanted to explore religion. 9 months later we are devout Christians and on fire for God. Jesus is real and He saves!

So I’ve watched three different ex-transgender folks testimonies cuz recently I’ve been interested in hearing real stories. I always guessed that LGBT+ ppl are just confused ppl that believed what they were hearing in their head but never heard a real account of what a transgender went through. Even though I’m right sort of, there’s so many reasons someone decides to transition or be gay. They don’t all have the same story. And I appreciate this girl for having the courage to share her story (it is brave to spill all your personal story to a bunch of ppl to hopefully have an open heart and mind to receive without judging). And yet I relate to her based off her faith story. I too intellectualize things a lot and also sort of a type A perfectionist personality. So I also was dedicated to Jesus for some time but let go cuz I saw that I wasn’t as genuine about being a better person and wanted sex more than wanting to know God more. Thank you Daisy for sharing! And thank you Allie for being respectful as u interview!

I find Daisy’s testimony to be very compelling and captivating. My heart aches for the journey she has been on yet I rejoice for the work God has done in her. I can’t help but wonder if she is on the autism spectrum or if she is neurodivergent. I see a lot of similarities between her and Chloe Cole
