They are not hurting him.they try to carry out the elephan to the other side of the river.bcs that elephant can't cross the rever alone.sri lankan wild life officers rescue him and treat and finally release to the jungle.if they don't do this the elephant going to the villages and there will be a conflict among villagers and elephant..the reason they are shoutin is to command remove the vehicles and peoples around the river.

the way this people sound is like a hunting not a rescue for elephants.With there shouting it is like a hunting for elephants.And it sounds like so many chief giving commands that everyone shouts together and the ear of the elephant is so sensitive that it feels it is in danger..None of this guys is really capable of rescue and release of this animal...what a pity for the elephant...

are u capable..have u work with an elephant before. these guys are experienced over 40 year with wild elephants on daily basis. treating their injuries, monitoring after treatments for months, catching, transporting & relocating to safer jungles. guiding the herds to safer jungles. tranquilizing, making family trees for elephant families over generations. living in the wild. have u got this experience?..they know what they are doing....ultimately its a wild elephant not a tamed one.

And all these rescue-workers you are antagonizing, notice how most of them wear a green uniform with a logo on it...
