Yes, it's definitely a thing, whether you are a trans dude or a cis dude. My dad is 67 and his voice still cracks sometimes. It's done that ever since I can remember and my mom says the same. It gives my mom the giggles. It's kind of adorable.

School just started for me, and seeing everyone again (the girls, really) makes me have really bad anxiety. Yesterday the teacher split the girls and boys into different groups and while everyone talked about makeup, shopping and the guys they were/are dating made me super uncomfortable. I tried to connect and understand, but it didn't work. I felt like...I was a triangle trying to fit into a circle. I heard that this is some form of dysphoria, can someone actually inform me on this

Axsions don't worry, just bc you don't like talking abt make up doesn't mean you're trans ;) girls like all sorts of "manly" stuff; video games, soccer, monster trucks, wrestling, whatever, while still being girls. just gotta find yourself friends with similar interests. bet you five dollars there were guys in the male group in your class sighing internally, feeling like they don't belong, and wishing someone would play DnD with them instead of talking about sports.

Hello from a Secondary school teacher. First, I am so sorry that you go through this. Having not always being out when I was teaching being called miss constantly always made my dysforia worse. As a teacher though, if you are out and you are getting miss gendered, wrong name etc. You are experiencing prejudice because of your gender and you are protected against this with the discrimination act. Go to your form tutor, quote me, tell them the issues and ask them to put an announcement out during a teachers meeting that tends to happen every morning or at least once a week. If your parents support you, take them in for a meeting with the Head teacher. You are valid and deserve respect from all staff and students.

I was just trying to watch this video when I suddenly felt our new kitten attack my feet through the blanket... This was interesting, learned more once again! I'm trans masculine and I have dreamed of starting T to get a deeper voice and a different fat disposition but the hair thing scares me. I have really thick hair and it grows super fast but my hair line is already quite high up, anymore and it'll look as if I was balding. Also, I at some point a year or two ago realized I had started to subconsciously talk at a lower pitch, I realized it because my best friend and I quite often speak in English to each other and I happened to notice that my voice was a lot higher than when I spoke in Finnish... And then I heard some old recording of my voice (not ages old) and then compared that to a new one and noticed the same, my voice had dropped. So apparently I had subconsciously started to train my voice to be deeper because I had for years felt really uncomfortable with how feminine my voice was (and is when I speak in English, Swedish, Russian or French). And the funny thing is... Every once in a while I experience the cracking voice... As if I was going through puberty again... I never had it when I actually went through puberty but somewhere around when I was 18-19 it started, around the time when my voice had started to get deeper.

Facial hair was the first thing to fill in at a phenomenal rate, I was really surprised how fast it happened, soon followed by a considerable amount of body hair. I turned into a wookie XD. First voice drop was fairly significant, then it slowed to a craaaaaawl. It's still working on getting there. Weight gain I got, but didn't need, though at least most of it's muscle now, so that's something, but I am always hungry, and I could probably eat an entire cow in one sitting. As far as emotional changes, I calmed down significantly, and like you, my confidence increased. Thankfully I haven't had any issues with hair loss. Started T in 2006, so I'm not terribly worried about it. All in all I feel like things are taking forever, and I haven't had top surgery yet either. Partially due to cost, but also because I want to be in at least decent physical condition when I do have it done. Part of my delay, though, is that I went through long periods of time where I had to drop off T due to just.. life issues, creating a situation where I simply couldn't get it. Now that things are evening out on that front, I'm hoping that things will get back on track.

I'm a cis-woman and I shed at least 10 hairs a day. So many hairs I had to get a special drain cover to keep from clogging my shower drain. But I'm pretty sure that's normal and haven't noticed any thinning out. I think it helps that I just seem to have a lot of hair, hairdressers always comment on that. So rest assured that losing a few hairs a day is normal. :)

I’ve been on T now for 12 years. I didn’t have any preconceived ideas what to expect going on T. I noticed right off, like the day after my first shot, my sex drive was actually uncomfortable. 3 months on T my sideburns started coming in. My neck grew from a 14 1/2 to a 17 in just a year. Hair started growing everywhere in that year. And then the 2nd year my hair started to either stop growing or fall out. I now just shave my head. I expected to have my voice change more, but I had a low voice to start with. I still get clocked as female on the telephone. Sort of sux that part. Don’t fret all this stuff. You will end up being the man you are. Not what you expect.

Now 9 and a half months on T, I expected my apatite to increase so maybe gain more fat but I didn't I'm actually finding it easier to control my hunger and loose weight which I need to do for top surgery referrals. I have a shadow of a mustache but not that noticeable tbh and starting to get peach fuzz on my face, my dad is very hairy so I was expecting body hair to arrive and that it did haha very dark stomach and chest hair that loves to get caught in my binder.... No body warned me about that haha. My voice is still dropping and cracking left right and centre but is like a cis guy range which is making it easier to pass but as a 15 year old (I was 21 yesterday). This is one I wasn't really warned about, I have alopecia (a autoimmune disorder that make my hair fall out when ever it feels like it) it had been coming in pretty well until about 2 months on T and it decided to attack a random patch on the top of my head which in the 20 years I've had alopecia it has never fallen out on the top. The treatment I get for it has become less effective and slower to work and I decided I don't give a damn anymore and shaved it all off.

I've been watching a wide variety of trans youtubers over the last couple years and they've helped me come to terms with accepting that I've felt like a male my entire life. However, I unfortunately don't feel that I'm in a position in my life currently to transition into who I see myself as in my mind. I have many reason for this and I thought I would start a KZread channel to share my story and hopefully connect with some people that can relate. I posted my first video today to try and break the ice and I hope to be posting more soon, covering things like being in the closet, trans topics specifically, and my personal journey so far.

Is it weird that I want a bigger nose? My nose had that kind of mountain on the middle of it, and I loved it, then it became softer and yeah, I miss my nose xD So I hope T can help in that especific part XD (and the other ones, of course) Thank you, for sharing your experience, Jamie! :D

I remember expecting so much facial hair because of all the trans guys I saw online who were only about a year on T with facial hair. I'm two years on T now and not much but a few chin hairs and a peach fuzz moustache haha, but I'm okay with it now.

Thomas Hodge (I'm not an expert, but I just want to share some of my thoughts/experiences/things I've heard from doctors and other people about this topic) Personally, I didn't have the experience of becoming angrier or more notable aggressive when starting T. I was super worried about it when I started, because my dad is prone to anger issues, and I was worried it might affect me. Really all that happened though was some mood swings within the first couple months, similar to any teenage boy going through puberty, and then everything seemed to even out. Besides being more comfortable with myself and gaining the ability to be more assertive and stuff, I don't really think it gave ME any sort of aggression issues. From what I've heard and seen too, other transmasculine people on T that I've discussed this with seem to agree that it doesn't really tend to be an issue that affects most people. Hope this gives you some peace of mind!

I've been on testosterone for about thirteen months and my shoulders have grown two shirt sizes and my chest has shrunk a bit so basically I have dorito bones now (not that I'm complaining lol). Also my feet grew two sizes in the first six months which is good bc I've always had really small feet and been self conscious about that. I started getting facial hair in like the second month tho, not to mention the massive amounts of body hair but that's a race/genetics thing bc my dad's side is super hairy lol. My voice tho,,,,,, HOOOOO BOY

I'm watching this pre-T so I'll just comment on each topic cuz why not Facial Hair: honestly I have the opposite issue 😅 even without HRT, I have a LOT ot body hair, not just facial. In fact, my parents find it gross when I don't shave it because, well, I still look like a girl. It's not great and it gives me dysphoria when they act like I'm a freakshow but ah well... Voice Cracking: ngl this is one this I'm excited for. I find it very cute on other boys so hey, when is my turn? lmao Skinny: oh yeah I guess that depends on everybody's body type and exercise habits. There are no miracles! Mental: the ID name change alone gave me so much confidence so I can see how your actual body changing would too ❤🎉 Small changes: oh yeah, the body and pee odor makes total sense and I think I knew of that already. I've always had a strong odor even for a female body so I'm not too worried. I guess it's a matter of bathing more often? 😅 Receding hairline: ah... My eczema can relate 😅 even now pre-T I'm struggling with lack of hair because of the eczema so honestly? I'm way past that panic pfft *cries*

My voice is kind of deeper then normal girls in my grade, so if I took T, how much deeper would it get? I'm still confused on that part or does it depend on the person who takes T? I need to know because I'm thinking about taking T and I've been watching your videos for imformation on it, so I have at least some knowledge about it. Thank you for making these videos :)
