Dan😋😋👍👍 Fun time the both of you had mucking about in the mud. Of course the sandwich's were the star of the show and cooking with the Trangia is always a good experience. I've got the Trangia 27-??, hard anodized version, a bit smaller than yours but It cooks for two easily. The two of you having such fun is what it's all about, enjoying each other as you do so often. as a video I wanted to make it about the trangia cooking for the general viewer so to speak. but I couldn't not include the bits Carly shot on her camera, they just tickled me so much. we had a brilliant day, it rained hard later on and we were soaked by the time we got back to the car. it was a good lunch! I love steak and pesto : ) that tree root is right on the footpath at the back of Gilbert Whites house/grounds/museum so I'm not sure I'd get away with it.. it was right at the end of the walk so also near the carpark, but there were plenty of places on the route we took.. I did have my eyes open as always looking for a good spot! have a great weekend mate xx

That was one hell of a great sandwich. So good. The pesto sauce on one side seems like a good combo with the steak. And your Trangia is a most useful system! You two are funny - the main feature continued by surprise to an extra bit of fun too. Love it! Warren :)

Steak and pesto is a brilliant combination, I used to make little canapés which were garlic crustini’s with fillet steak and pesto on them. Well tasty! Yeah I’m enjoying the trangia, going to keep playing with it. Bit of fun at the end for them that enjoy that kind of thing. The trangia purests can turn off if they want 😝😋

Man I was salivating watching that steak cook 😂. Looked delicious. Bet it was nice with the pesto. I only have pesto with pasta normally . Lovely way to spend some time , in the great outdoors with your nearest and dearest 👍 . Take care Dan , and Mrs Dan .

G'day Dan, Carley, what a great day out folks, you sure did capture quite a range of content there. I really enjoyed it and had a good laugh too !!!!! Lovely tucker and I'm impressed with your use of the correct technical terminology, i.e. "sanger". Like the fuel bottle too, the lack of a proper one has always put me off carrying flammable liquid around.. Btw Dan, haven't had a chance to try your pepper sauce recipe, what with Xmas left overs and wifey keeps bringing home prawns whilst in season here. But in the words of Rod Stewart; "tonight's the night" just need to nick down the bottlo and pick up some more brandy, (and a decent bottle of red ned). I'll let you know how it goes. Cheers Duke.

I set out to film a trangia cooking video and not any of our shenanigans, but Carly had my other camera for taking photos and her secret filming sections were pretty funny so I couldn't resist sticking them in at the end.. but I got a bit mushy at the end! it was a fantastic day out just the two of us. hope your steak was good : )

Hi Dan thanks for sharing another great video. I have the standard Trangia 25 too just for me really, keep thinking of going smaller with the 27 but love the 25 just in case there's another :-) Keep thinking about buying a non stick frying pan for it but the normal frying pan cleans up not bad with a good scourer 🙂

I’ve seen someone with the non stick pan and it’s a mess! I can’t think who it is. I think the classic pans are better in the outdoors as they’re going to take a beating no matter what you do. it was a glorious sandwich! our kids have suddenly hit the we don't need a baby sitter anymore age, so we are a little giddy with excitement when we can just go out without much prior planning! it was a really fun day, we got caught in the heavy rain later on and were soaked by the time we got back to the car. fun fun fun! : )

Bio ethanol, I’ve used meths before. I always found it hard to light on cold mornings. The bio stuff seems slightly better.
