Tram of Seville

Seville (Spain) has a new tram system consisting of one line with a length of approx. 1.4 km for the time being (it is part of a greater project to build a metro network for Seville).
The line runs through the center of Seville connecting the stations Prado de San Sebastián with Plaza Nueva. There are two stops along (Puerte de Jerez and Archivo de Indias).
The tram opened in October 2007 after half a year of testing and is operated by four 100% low floor streetcars produced by CAF.
Since the tracks are almost only within the pedestrean area the velocity is not very high, but the tram is accepted well in the population, since it is always heavily used -- even if every few minutes a new service starts from the endpoints.
