Sir Thomas mitchell is a Victorian Railways A class that had hauled the spirit of progress unfortunately for the victorian railways S classes were srcapped in April 1954. I wish one was preserved to see it in action.

The VR R class has a fantastic whistle. Sounds just like R707 in real life

0:23 I don't think the 8200 class ever had that horn! 0:30 that's a low-quality P5! 1:12 that Garratt looks odd without its tender bodies! 1:25 i never heard that horn before! 3:58 i think that crossing is broken! 5:17 I don't think many Australian locomotives had K5LA horns! 6:38 the VR R class has the best Australian whistle!

Irl almost every VR loco has the same whistle as the R class.

Quite a few of the modern Australian diesels ie. NR's, 93's etc have a Nathan k series horn. It's kind of like the K5LA but has a distinctive Australian feel to it

Horns like K5LA's are frequently used in Australia on the Indian Pacific diesels.

If you don’t know what a c17 class locomotive is, well it’s at 3:51. The Southern Downs Steam Railway locomotive c17 974. (It’s an Australian locomotive btw.)
