Mark Found and Mark Collins appeared in this hit Discovery show back in 2002 - and consequently some of the items have dated. Nevertheless, it's well produced, superbly filmed and both presenters show an enthusiasm for the subject that's hard to beat.
In this programme Found visits Crewe and looks behinds the shutters of the London Transport Depot whilst Collins goes back to his schoolboy haunt of the Avon Valley Railway

I like Mark found , he tries to bring a bit of life into everyones secret hobby. , good job Mark.
Can just see 6115 Scots Guardsman in the background at 5:12 as for a while before David Smith bought the engine it was stored at Crewe Heritage Centre and it did used to wear LMS lined black before changing to what it has now which is BR lined green with the ferret and dartboard crest. As of 2022 it's operational and mainline certified as part of the West Coast Railways fleet of engines.
Sir Frederick Pile, the locomotive, is still in bits, and it's been nearly 20 years now.
Great series, not at all dated!
Things seen here that have changed since 2002: There's now no proper trains on the WCML, Britannia is now in running order, 18000 is now at Didcot and Sir Fredrick Pile has moved to the Watercress Line.

In the background you can even see 6115 Scots Guardsman as it did used to be in LMS lined black. As of 2022 it's now operational but wears BR Lined Green with the late crest.
Program is showing its age Britannia at the Beginning looking a sorry state is now running lol.

She is however still in the works at Crewe being repaired following a vibration issue developing.
