Thanks Viaduction! It was a real wet afternoon. As much as I try to avoid videoing in the rain, I had already come a fairly long way to get here and I wasn't leaving empty handed! I honestly wouldn't have published this video without the lockdown, I needed to make sure that the content kept flowing :)

Thank you very much! That 0A06 working can produce almost anything from the DB loco fleet including 66, 67, 90, 92, all of various liveries.

I’ve stood watching trains in the rain at Stafford many a time and can vouch for your excellent reproduction of the truth. I was surprised to see London Edinburgh served with diesels! I was born in Stafford and used the train a lot in the 70s and my ticket was invariably checked by Bill, who lived in a cottage next to the Newport Road bridge. I saw my first electric loco on display in 65 or 66 (I think) on the siding next to Platform 1, with Perspex partitions to show off the internals. I watched the bridges along the line being raised to accommodate the overhead wiring. I came home by train from Germany on several occasions - all the way apart from the Hague-Harwich ferry. That was in the days it was Deutsche Bahn that ran the trains that were always on time. No more. I’ve been delayed 5 times out of 5 in Germany of late. My old man had pigs, and used to pick up semen at Stafford Station that came by train from Norfolk several times a month.

Thanks a lot! Almost anything can turn up on that daily light engine service and from 1 to 6 DB locos. I'll be keeping an eye on that service in the future as well. Thanks Dan :)

I hadn't thought of it like that Ollypl101, but I suppose your right. The rain in the distance in some of the shots do look really good.

Stafford has a lot of 350s very nice trains

Great Video 🌟😎👍🏽 One of the best locations on the UK Network to observe trains. Stafford used to and still does offer a great variety of freight and passenger traffic 😎👍🏽 Don’t worry about the rain 😂☔️

Yep Stafford is definitely one of the best places to visit to see freight. Although I know you’re like me and would probably prefer push pull 90s 87s and 86s here 😂 0A06 was the only service that was really poor from the rain but I thought it was worth it, 92s aren’t common after all. @@StarlifeStudios no worries 😎👍🏽 spot on, back in the day you had 81’s, 85’s, 86’s, 87’s and from 1988, 90’s whizzing up and down through Stafford on passenger and freight duties. Couple that with diesel 25’s, 31’s, 37’s, 40’s, the peaks, 47’s, 56’s, 58’s and the occasional HST and class 50 and my word, it really was the place to be in the 80’s and early 90’s for maximum enjoyment of locomotive haulage variety 👀😎👍🏽 At Stafford, literally anything could turn up 🤩👍🏽 Keep making the great videos my friend...the content and quality is excellent and always enjoyable 😎🎉

It seems that way. I’m fairly sure that JLR has a contract to export to Australia and New Zealand from Southampton so those vehicles will likely never be used on UK roads. My hands were freezing at the end of it but I thought there were some good moments in this video despite some rain moments. ⭐️

Very nice video. Now here is a suggestion for the 2.5 K special: Do a comparison of old and new like u did at blackfriars but on a larger scale of train operators like for example a a few virgin and London Midland trains for old and the newer trains and liveries for the new section for WCML then EMCL, u get the idea. Idk just a suggestion.

Hi Lord Everything, I wasn't planning on doing a 2.5K special although I do like the idea you came up with. Like your last suggestion, I will keep a note of it for the future although I am concentrating on Live Streams at the moment for a start as soon as possible after Lockdown ends.

Hello! The horse was added to 390039 when it was named Lady Godiva at Coventry under Virgin Trains. The rain felt much worse when I was there, but I’m glad it made a good video in the end 😃

I believe it’s mostly Liverpool services that stop although some peak Manchester services did stop in the mornings. This station is similar to Rugby with frequencies. Thank you Trainspotter 222.

Would like to go to Stafford. Never been to Stafford. And the Avanti West Coast Class 390 Pendolinos are very nice trains with some that have the new livery. Plus with Avanti West Coast who are to replace the Class 221 Voyagers with the Class 805 and Class 807 IET AT300 units. And some of the London Northwestern Railway Class 350s still has the former London Midland livery whilst others have the new London Northwestern Railway livery.
