Trains at Southampton Central, SWML - Christmas Special 23rd December 2021

Hello and welcome all to my last video of 2021.
I thought I give Southern Route a bit of a rest and start again sometime in January.
On 23rd December day before Christmas Eve, on a wet and miserable day, I thought I go somewhere local to me. I revisted my favourite local station Southampton Central.
Always enjoy been at this station, it never fails to bore you as there are loads of trains services and freights.
Faclity wise very good, as there is WHsmith on Platform 1 Upper Crust next to booking office hall and waiting room with a very nice Christmas Tree with some other cool decorations around it.
And on Platform 3 there is a little cafe shop with a waiting area.
And on Platform 4 there is Pumpkin cafe and another waiting room near to the other booking entrance hall.
Views on both ends of station are very excellent despite the drezzle rain, which makes filming a bit trikcy.
Trains you will see is South Western Railway, 444, 450, Southern 377, Cross Country 220, 221, Freightliner, GBRF DB Cargo both hauled by Class 66, & 1 Class 70 operating Freightliner.
Despite all the bad weather I still really enjoyed my time there, will definitely will return sometime next year.
Wow what a year it has been for us all, now that restrictions have eased step by step since from around from April and get to do non essentials travel once again to do things we all love doing. And then towards the end of the year, winter seasons was incredibly challenging for us and for all train Operating Companies, as there is Omicron Variant that continuing to rip through UK very rapidly, because of that result trains still having to run temporary timetable timetable to reduce numbers of cancellations and making railway reliable as much as possible.
At Southampton things are still feels like almost normal, except a little few cancelations and Southern cut off Brighton route due to revise timetable, and South Western Railway having bit of trouble on Weymouth line due to signal failure, and having to terminate their trains up at Wool.
Hope you all enjoy my latest video, as always if liked what you have seen please feel free to leave a comment and press the subscribe and notification bell for more content.
Want to wish all my subscribers thank you for all your support for this channel and for helping to making it grow and for taking up your time of watching my videos.

Until my next video sometime in 2022, I'll see you all next time.
TTFN and stay safe. :)
