Trains at: Solihull | 14/1/24
Welcome to the latest episode of Spotting! In today's video I am at Solihull where services are seen by West Midlands Railway and Chiltern Railways. The station is located on the Chiltern Main Line between Birmingham Moor Street and Leamington Spa.
The station was a nice one to visit. This was my first time filming here for a spotting session and although it was relatively quiet, it still was a nice little station. Normally a lot more goes on here but due to the landslip between Haddenham & Thame Parkway and Bicester North, Chiltern services were more limited.

I know this comment is a bit late but great video as always - Really enjoyed it 😊 very good camera quality as well. I’ve said this before but thank you as always for all of the long hours and hard work you put into making these videos, I really appreciate it so thank you once again. This was prior to Covid but cross country used to go via Solihull a lot but now unfortunately it’s only a couple of times a day, even on weekdays it’s massively reduced now. I’ve been speaking to staff but from what I’ve heard, it all depends if cross country get more trains. If cross country get more trains then possibly in 2025 and these are just rumours from staff, we will go back to an hourly pre Covid service to and from Reading to Newcastle and the services which terminate/ start at Southampton pre Covid will instead start at Reading and terminate at Reading but it all depends if cross country get more trains. Once again though great video. I am really enjoying them, particularly your videos on trains around Oxfordshire such as Banbury, Oxford ect.

Thanks for your kind words! I'm sure it'll improve soon enough if they do get new trains in. I'm more interested in their fleet refurbishment if I'm honest, it's needed that for a long time.
Good vid Kieran. It would be better if you film it on weekdays that means you can get lot of units and inc freight trains as well.

Today's trains all look the same part from a different paint job so so so boring!!!!!
