Trains at Gravesend, NKL - 15/11/19

Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Gravesend on the North Kent Line where services are seen by Southeastern and Thameslink (brand of Govia Thameslink Railway).
Gravesend was a surprisingly busy station to film at but one that was fairly enjoyable to go to! The variety on show was decent along with the amount of frequency there was. A lot of delays had occurred here due to the issues at Lewisham but that soon calmed down and there wasn't a massive effect on proceedings here anyway. The layout here is decent, it rained a lot and there wasn't a great deal of shelter anywhere but thankfully wasn't that bad. Overall a fab station, one I would highly recommend visiting!

How Gravesend and England are missed...to be wrongfully removed as a child as I did NOT want to leave as my family moved...yet a child goes where the adults say/go. With our two nations no longer traveling, I fear England, Gravesend, all...will remain memories only for me. Way too long since I visited...two decades now...the trains, to go to London...memories of riding the passenger cars with doors you had to manually open, those were being phased out the year I lost England.

That ECS 466 is from Gillingham to Dartford, which will be attached to an 8 car on platform 3 for the 14:25 Charing Cross via Bexleyheath. At the time of this video it would do the same but on platform 1. 👍

17:44 rainham has a platform 0 and reddhill also has platform 0

Cardiff Central has a platform 0, built on the side of the main entrance to the station

I reccomend newton le willows lea green and huyton as stations to visit and in merseyside.
