Training on Buchi Flash chromatography was given by Mr. Manish Thakur and Mr. Prashanth Poojari . Training started with a brief theoretical introduction of principles of flash chromatography and its pharmaceutical applications. He briefly explained use of the system for isolation and separation of phyto-constituents and synthetic drug combinations in various dosage forms. He also elaborated about precautions to be taken with respect to maintaining the instrument and handling. Then, he gave a demonstration of instrument for isolation and separation of phyto-constituents from crude plant extract. He mentioned about various advantages of the system and its benefits in pharmaceutical chemistry. Students and faculty members attended training session which ended with interaction
